I wish my vapes looked half this good. Not even talking about the kind they are, just so clean and all matchy. I am apt to be running around with a hairband holding the battery door on and a cracked drip tip.

Welp, Texas finally thawed out and my clearance Nunchaku Mod/RDA Kit from Stan showed up. This is a pretty nice little 24mm dual coil RDA. The mod tops out at 80W which isn't my usual cup o' tea but I went ahead and installed the coils it came with and it turned out to be a pretty nice little vape all maxed out :D I'm diggin' it. Not too shabby for twenty bucks :thumb:

there is another vaping forum I have heard mention that others are going to. I think it was @Letitia that mentioned it. what was the name?
You looking for vape forums like ECF ???

There's Ecig Vape Forum South Africa, Planet of the Vapes UK, VU (has MANY ex-ECF'ers). I'm a member at those. Australia has a few decent vape forums. There are quite a few more on the interwebz.

My second attempt at building the Dvarw was an unmitigated disaster. I tried the 24g as at 3mm taking off a loop so as not to raise the resistance, but the resistance still went from 0.6 to nearly 0.8 ohms. The chimney kept getting stuck in the top section every time I tried to put the tank on the deck and they wouldn't screw together. I finally got them together and most of the juice leaked. Idk why. The higher resistance tasted terrible, even at a much lower wattage. It tasted hot and burnt. Then, I tore a battery wrapper changing the battery on the Colossal. I was so frustrated with the setup that I just put it to the side for now. Maybe tomorrow. I ordered some battery wraps and a hairdryer. Yes, I don't own a hairdryer...my hair is so thin and fine, I dont need one.
For wicking have a look at Ange's blog. Dvarw RTA Wicking Techniques | E-Cigarette Forum

I switch off between Exocet and the Vapdivrr methods. I prefer a wick that is "tight" in my coils. And I switch off between cotton and rayon all the time with my RBA's. Both work well in the Dvarw's.

When screwing the tank section on the deck go counter clockwise until you feel it click into the threading. Then push lightly on the deck while screwing them together.

Top cap - generously lube the small o-ring on the top of the cap. If it still gets stuck try replacing the larger lower o-ring. That should help it to stay attached to the Peek section when you unscrew the tank section. If that doesn't work try the o-ring at the top of the cap. On my authentic's the caps never gets stuck.

Also, the Peek section, FL's only, is keyed to mate with the positive post. It only fits one way. Make sure it is fully seated.

Flavor - try lowering your coil over the airflow insert. I have mine set at ~1.5mm above the AF. You could also experiment with raising your coil but you will get a stronger throat hit, which you may or may not enjoy.

I tried the 3mm so I could use more wicking. I think that's why I have leaks. I'm going back to 2.5mm, but I'm going to cut the tails a lot longer.
I run my Dvarw DL FL with both 3mm and 2.5mm ID coils. Both work well for me.

Lately I've been running my Dvarw DL FL with a 3mm ID coil.

With the Vapdivrr wicking method I cut my tails right at the edge of the deck. For Exocet I trim them at about 0.5mm outside the juice flow holes on the chimney.

Whatever wicking method you are using the key is to make sure the tails are completely covering the chimney juice holes. So you can't see any light through them.

That sucks about tearing your batter wrap on the Colossal. That is kind of the reason I have stopped using those mods. With how they are set up, they seem to really be tough on battery wraps. Wish I didn't have 5 of them.
I have 8 Colossi ( @Zazie ;) ) and only tore a battery wrap once. It was on my first go with one.

In the Asmodus thread I learned from @DeloresRose and @AngeNZ and @bigbob2322 how to insert the battery without tearing it.

Partially insert the negative side of the battery first - then push up and in while inserting the positive side. Works like a charm. Give it a try.

Same goes for removing the battery. Push up towards the negative while pulling out.

I haven't tore a battery wrap since.

    Morning shinies ;)

    Wow....have you upped the saturation??

Nah, I leave the saturation well alone. Only contrast and temperature. I'm still very much learning the camera though - it seems to have a high saturation in lower light which I want to tone down.

Thanks. I might check into getting some wraps.

Even the cheapo ones at FT seem to survive better than some manufacturers original wraps for me. But I mainly get them for the cool pictures, and to keep track of the battery's age

    It really is .
It's a Melbourne company called Wick and Wire Co (wickandwireco.com.au).Your neck of the woods.
I've bought some bits and pieces from them in the past but nothing substantial.

There's no blame attached to them here of course. They couldn't know what's in a sealed box. This is a QC issue that sits squarely at Dovpo's door. There were other niggles about the fit and finish that I didn't mention in my posts that would annoy anyone paying this type of money. Rough and rushed was my impression.

Wick and Wire didn't make me jump through hoops and answer a hundred questions. One explanatory email with a few photos was enough for them to act.. They even have a landline number that they answer.
I'm relieved that the latest installment of this saga is so uplifting. I didn't like the turn toward tragedy earlier.

I wish I could read French. Some sites you can change the language but I couldn’t find the option.
What was the site that’s supposed to get more this month? Was it vapor clouds?
If you open the site in Chrome, you can translate it. Some of the word choices might make you laugh, but you'll get the gist.
