I’m checking 2-3 times a week to see if I’m eligible yet. We’re still doing 65+ and high risk. My daughter qualifies because of a heart condition and she’s signed up, waiting for her appointment. I’m not concerned about side effects, but it’s going to be a long drive - opposite end of the county is the only place to get the shot. I just hope if I do have a reaction it doesn’t happen before I can get home.

Not sure it can apply because of you know well we all different but just for reference.

I got my shot at 16:15,stayed 15 minutes in the waiting room because some people maybe get a severe allergic reaction (also known as anaphylaxis).
Past those 15 minutes i went home and apart from pain in my arm (where i got the shot) i felt nothing.
Went to bed pretty late and woke up about 8 am,and yeah i was feeling bad...couldn't get a decent night sleep because i sleep on the side and that side is where the shot was given so i rolled around a lot.

But the next morning with my espresso in hand my mod in the other i felt really bad,flu like symptoms (without cough or runny nose) but the rest were there, headache, body ache, feeling feverish/chills,etc,etc.

How long is the drive home from where you taking the shot?
Just asking because maybe it would be wise to have a plan b just in case, you know a motel on the road or something like that just in case you ain't feeling that well.

Anyway, hope your side effects are mild or nonexistent and you make it home alright :)

P.S: Only meds the doc told me to take to alleviate the symptoms was Paracetamol, took 3 of those a day.

My thought too. It seems people are loading up with the impending ban. I’d be interested to see if it affects the bottom line for USPS. The items on the ban list is pretty broad.
Considering how much of vaping products are shipped from China they might come out ahead. USPS loses money from every shipment from China.

When I got my pfizer injections, the first one was a breeze with only a sore arm. The second injection I was fine the first day after, but the second day I felt kind of flu-buggy but I was amazingly weak, I was wore out just walking across the house, it was crazy how weak I felt, but the next day that was pretty much over. But still, so glad that I was able to get the injection regardless.

People here on ECF certainly have ordered a ton from China, but I bet most US vapers order from MFS, 8vape, Ecigmafia etc. (Places here in the states). If I hadn’t determined by y’alls experiences that it was safe and thrifty, I wouldn’t have gone the China route.

Question....I'm getting a lot of trouble with my Dvarw top cap touching my wick's on either side and scorching. 2.5mm coil set really low. Anyone else? I've just rewicked and three days later....funky taste :grr:

I get those dark wick edges in my Dvarw DLs where it touches the chimney too. I change wicks when it happens but maybe we should trim the "humps" of the wicks when first juiced up? A snip or two with scissors should do it.
Who else has had this?

When you say scorching do you mean burning?

Or dark juice spots on your wick tails?

Dark spots on a wick can happen if one tail is longer than the other. The longer tail gets the dark spot. Dark spots can also happen if there is too much wick installed for the design of the deck. Juice pools up in the excess wick. Hence the dark spots.

When I use VapDivrr wicking I trim some off the tops and sides of the tails. Same as I do with Kayfun's and a few others.

With Exocet I don't trim any off the tails.

I have my coils set at ~1.5mm above the AF. My wick tails never come into contact with the top cap unless I have, as you said, too much "hump" on the top.

Just measured, on the Dvarw FL's there is ~1.5mm of space between the top cap and the juice holes. I didn't measure the OG.

ETA: The lower you go with your coil the less chance of it coming into contact with the top cap.

Thanks for that. It's not actually touching the top cap I don't think but the residual heat from the cap is close enough to scorch the top of the wick. I use the Exocet method on all my Dvarw's. It happens just outside the coil where you get the bulge form juice expansion in the wick.

It's really lightweight and matches up with the Dvarw nicely.

OK, so what's up with that? Burnt wicks? With cotton only? How about rayon? I must admit that I haven't been playing with my Dwarvs lately, but those posts made me worried. Which wicking method is preferred if one wants to avoid scorched wicks?

No worries, no burnt or scorched wicks. :D You can calm down now. I switch off between Cottonman cottons and rayon. Both work really well in my Dvarw's.

I switch off between the Vapdivrr and Exocet wicking methods. All the wicking methods listed in @AngeNZ's Blog work great. Use whichever one is easiest or suits you best. :)

No burnt taste in my case. I get darkened tips on the edges of my wick in the Dvarw DL sometimes. Apologies for the blurry photo but you can see its the top/edge that sometimes gets this darker colour. The wick through the centre of the coil isn't burnt. Charlie's speculation that it might be heat transfer from the chimney cap sounds plausible to me.
