I’m checking 2-3 times a week to see if I’m eligible yet. We’re still doing 65+ and high risk. My daughter qualifies because of a heart condition and she’s signed up, waiting for her appointment. I’m not concerned about side effects, but it’s going to be a long drive - opposite end of the county is the only place to get the shot. I just hope if I do have a reaction it doesn’t happen before I can get home.
Not sure it can apply because of you know well we all different but just for reference.
I got my shot at 16:15,stayed 15 minutes in the waiting room because some people maybe get a severe allergic reaction (also known as anaphylaxis).
Past those 15 minutes i went home and apart from pain in my arm (where i got the shot) i felt nothing.
Went to bed pretty late and woke up about 8 am,and yeah i was feeling bad...couldn't get a decent night sleep because i sleep on the side and that side is where the shot was given so i rolled around a lot.
But the next morning with my espresso in hand my mod in the other i felt really bad,flu like symptoms (without cough or runny nose) but the rest were there, headache, body ache, feeling feverish/chills,etc,etc.
How long is the drive home from where you taking the shot?
Just asking because maybe it would be wise to have a plan b just in case, you know a motel on the road or something like that just in case you ain't feeling that well.
Anyway, hope your side effects are mild or nonexistent and you make it home alright
P.S: Only meds the doc told me to take to alleviate the symptoms was Paracetamol, took 3 of those a day.
