You and I know someone similar. I never knew, until I was told. Still, a very good person, who is missed. I didn't judge and I completely understood.

Compassion. Tolerance. Acceptance. :)
Isn't that the truth though, of all of us. We are merely strangers helping strangers and know almost nothing about each others background, lifestyles, choices etc. yet we meet her almost daily to see what is up with each other, check in, cheer on and worry about each other, we run to the post office to help each other out and lose sleep when one of us is missing, yet we know next to nothing about each other. The forum is a strange thing and I have found a few that I can turn to even when I cannot turn to a BFF, a sister or a daughter.

Interesting account of someone who actually did the work.

When I was about 11 or 12 my cousin in his spectacular truck rig visited my family. That rig had EVERY imaginable items to make it as comfortable as possible. And After sitting in that big leather drivers seat with hydraulic spring to eliminate a lot of the I fell I love!! From then on all I wanted to do was drive a truck! The nuns weren’t totally pleased with this  !!!
I still, to this day, have never gotten a better nights sleep than the one you get in the bunker of a truck. we had all amenities too, electric frying pan, coffee maker, etc

I’m jealous of all y’all who can continue to blithely order whatever it want. Time is almost out here. vape shopping feels like packing for a trip to the moon.... do I need that? If I don’t get it, will I find out next week I do? What obvious have I forgotten? Answers: no, yes, TONS :(
this explains the angst perfectly

I know for me it's a kind of family. A family of strangers like you say. Strange and sometimes dislocated but it's a family of choice, not one that's forced on us. Maybe the anonymity makes it easier to be honest and share without fear. Stuff that we all have in common.
I'm glad you guys exist even if you don't.

this old place is missed.
seems to be rolling on at the same old relentless speed however which is nice to see.
hope you are all doing as well as possible considering the current climate.

Good to hear from you, Col! I’m doing alright. To quote Bob Dylan:

people are crazy and times are strange
I’m locked in tight, I’m out of range
I used to care but things have changed.

Grrrrrrr.....

broke my second tank glass in over 3 years of vaping. Good thing is- it’s a sub ohm tank and I bought back up tanks for ALL my favorite tanks :thumb: !! Phew!

Now I just have to find the correct glass. I got a bit lazy labeling the packages when I was getting 4-6 Vape mail boxes a day!! Wonderful memories :banana:So, I’ve got A LOT of glass to look through o_O !!

My yorkie Haley and I got five bombed by 2 very hawks circling over my yard. This is the 3rd time in 2 years. Now my neighbor tells me her video alarm camera has been showing 2-3 coyotes strolling down the street late at night. I use to be to enjoy my yard with a book but now I follow Haley around night & day as her body guard !!

Good reminder to order replacement glass while you still have time. FYI I purchased some at fasttech, VapingBest and EBay when vape life use to be so much fun.

So how’s everyone else doing today?

I have so much stuff and like you, no idea what goes to what. I’d need an event wall like on a cop show to figure it all out.

Fortunately Georgia is too big for the hawks to focus on her anymore, but she did get circled a time or two. The little birds always alerted me - they dive for cover and remain silent until the hawk moves on.

If you have a fence, that will deter coyotes to some degree. One or two of them generally won’t want anything to do with humans. I only ever see one trotting down my street - it just looks odd, a coyote on the sidewalk, under the street lights. I’m so used to them off in a field, down by a ditch. Looks weird when they are out of the natural areas. Very cool to see, but it does make the hair on my neck stand up a bit. Ours are usually active between midnight and 4am so I don’t see them often. I worry about people who don’t know about them, leaving their pets out all night.

With anonymity all the stuff that might prejudice us is stripped away. IRL we all make assumptions based on our first glance at a person. We might judge them to be mean or stupid just by what they wear. Or conversely, that they are good and decent because they’re well dressed.

and it is easier to be a keyboard warrior, but it’s also easier to be a faceless Fred Rogers. If only everyone could focus on that - we do, here - imagine how that would affect us all.

What I see in you folks is, given the opportunity, you will be the best version of you. Just because you can. That’s the most honest kind of good.

We know one another on a different level.

anyway. I love you all.

I have loads of stuff and I’m still anxious. So I feel for you. I feel the focus of the group shifting from shiny mail photos to withdrawal counseling.

But if there’s anything you need just let us know. If I don’t have it I bet someone does.

I suspect there will be a fair amount of stash shopping between us here in the US as we get farther into the ban. I know I have stuff that wasn’t a fit for me, doesn’t have great monetary value, but I kept thinking someone will eventually need it.

I think the biggest part of our discomfort is the lack of concrete information about what WILL happen, and a timetable. It’s a bit like skiing in the dark. Who can’t see where you’re going, so you can’t avoid possible trees and boulders, and you know there’s a cliff somewhere ahead but can’t see it before you plunge off into the abyss.

My wardrobe is more suited to grunge, but I’ll find a way to rally. My hair can totally do hair band hair.
