I have so much stuff and like you, no idea what goes to what. I’d need an event wall like on a cop show to figure it all out.
Fortunately Georgia is too big for the hawks to focus on her anymore, but she did get circled a time or two. The little birds always alerted me - they dive for cover and remain silent until the hawk moves on.
If you have a fence, that will deter coyotes to some degree. One or two of them generally won’t want anything to do with humans. I only ever see one trotting down my street - it just looks odd, a coyote on the sidewalk, under the street lights. I’m so used to them off in a field, down by a ditch. Looks weird when they are out of the natural areas. Very cool to see, but it does make the hair on my neck stand up a bit. Ours are usually active between midnight and 4am so I don’t see them often. I worry about people who don’t know about them, leaving their pets out all night.
Yeah I made sure to let my neighbors know about the hawks. She’s the one seeing coyotes at the same you mentioned. A couple have been seen trotting down the road at 10am and not fearful at all of humans.
I think you’re right that my fence will detour them a bit. Unfortunately, I found tufts of fur attached to umm flesh in my yard. Maybe a rabbit. Like I said I have tons of rabbits.
Im glad that at the very outset of my vaping “care” that I left all my gear in their original boxes with the accessories they came with. But yeah I’m always a bit surprised by what I find lol!!
