Thanks for the advice on the squonk bottle folks. @Opinionated that is a good idea using dish soap. I think I will do that. I'll pass on the vodka portion, but I will be sure to thoroughly rinse it with hot water.
I got a backup for each flavor I already had and doubled up on the new ones. You can always go back and do the same. At the price, you'll hit free shipping in no time.
I always keep a little vodka on hand for the periodic pie crust or hand pie crust which is why I found that it makes a great flavor eliminator when used as a cleaner. I read online it works, tried it because i had some on hand and wham bam thank you ma'am it really does!
You can buy those little airplane sized bottles of it at the liquor store to keep a little on hand if you find you need it.
I agree that vodka can be a great cleaning agent, but I don't like to keep alcohol in the house. I bet the Dawn soap and a hot water rinse will get the job done to my satisfaction.
I ordered from BCF this morning and have a shipping label. Doubt either order has actually been picked up by the carrier yet. Just because I have an RS label doesn't mean they've even fulfilled it yet, same for BCF.
I mostly do. I did with my Pumpers and Topsides. But the bottles for the Luna are a !!PITA!! to take out and put back. I have Lost Vape squonk refill bottles. The next time one goes empty, I’ll put some warm filtered water in it and flush out the Luna bottles.
I have some 510 squonk refill bottles I got from Armageddon mods.
They don't work on squonk bottles that have a metal seal, but the refill bottles DO work on the Luna...
Love the look of that T5. And now I know that Elforyn Super Tusk is a close alternative to ivory. Beautiful.

I placed an order the day you posted. They generated a shipping label but the order hasn’t been fulfilled yet. I’ve only ordered twice from them before because their slackness was maddening. The first time, I placed an order with them and another company the same day. I received the order from the other company and NR (it was still NR back then) hadn’t even got to boxing my stuff. I called up their customer service and chewed their ear off. With this sale, and what I can imagine, a swamp of orders, I’m not expecting them to send my order till next week honestly.
you could try vinegar or apple cider vinegar as an alternative to alcohol...though I'm not sure about with metal or rubber pieces that may be an issue

Maybe, but I think I'll just do the dish soap and hot water for now. If I use the squonker and it still tastes funky, then I can try something else. I'm sure it will be alright.
I posted my question originally because I didn't want to take the squonk bottle out unless I needed to. I recall reading that the more you mess with the bottle, the more you risk leaking. Since this will be my first squonk mod, I have no idea if that is true or not.
I don't know if it ruins them... but messing with them can be a PITA.. lol
I take mine out to clean regularly, clean before they go in etc and never had a problem, but I do always buy spare bottles for all my squonkers just in case, although I've never needed one yet.
see I'm leery of using soap as it could leave a film...so i opt for alcohol soak...plus disinfecting

I've not replaced any of my squonk bottles....only my squonk adapter, which is thinner than most bottles and it got used daily for a few years before it tore a hole where my nail pressed into it, granted I have long nails
and I've had my vmod for, ehh...6 years, something like that (and it wasn't new, I bought it off of dale), though I don't use it often since I cna't use atties with it only old style carts.

It was something I saw about removing them from the mod itself, like it would wear down the seals of the bottle. Like I said, since I have never squonked, I have no idea. eh it's possible...I mean, I think they were just throwing that out there
but you'd be removing the bottle to refill it, unless you buy one of those fancy refill bottles
like with anything, ie tanks, the more you unscrew and screw the tank the more the orings can stretch or wear out, etc.
or with the threads of the 510 the more you remove the atty and such, you could wear out the threading....so I mean it's possible but unlikely, i think it's just a hey there's a .0000000000001% chance kind of thing
the more concern would be the type of juice that you use in them and what material they are made of
but now-a-days that's not an issue anymore as most squonk bottles are the (whatever plastic it is that acidic juices won't eat through)
