Question for all of you squonkers. Do you generally take out the squonk bottle and wash it out before first use? I plan on trying out my Pulse V2 this weekend thought I might ask.
I wash everything that involves me then inhaling...bottles, rda's RDTA's etc...machine oil, bacteria....you never know

eh it's possible...I mean, I think they were just throwing that out there
but you'd be removing the bottle to refill it, unless you buy one of those fancy refill bottles
like with anything, ie tanks, the more you unscrew and screw the tank the more the orings can stretch or wear out, etc.
or with the threads of the 510 the more you remove the atty and such, you could wear out the threading....so I mean it's possible but unlikely, i think it's just a hey there's a .0000000000001% chance kind of thing
I actually did buy a refill bottle that is on its way from FT.
$4.86 510 Thread Refill Bottle for Squonk Bottom Feeder Mod - 30ml / silicone + stainless steel at FastTech - Free Shipping.

Plus, the Pulse 2 is bottom fill, so you don't have to take the bottle out to refill it. I'm not super worried about the bottle wearing out, it's just something I remember reading when I first started researching squonk mods.

    Morning shinies ;)

It was something I saw about removing them from the mod itself, like it would wear down the seals of the bottle. Like I said, since I have never squonked, I have no idea. I just remember reading something about that. The Pulse V2 did come with an extra bottle too.

I clean my bottles first. If it's a new squonk mod, I also stick the bottle in the mod with some warm water and flush out the 510 pin too.

If I'm changing flavours in the Pulse v2, since it's water resistant - I pull the battery, unscrew the bottom fill port and flush the bottle with warm water from the tap. Screw the lid on and squonk clean the 510 pin too. You could do it that way initially too if you don't want to take the bottle out.

This thread gives more info on the bottle and the seals:
Does you Vandy Vape Pulse V2 Squonk bottle Leak ?
Mine hasn't needed any attention to it.

I take my squonk bottles out of their mods to refill them. It's quick, easy, no mess (Luna's too ;)). Fill them up, pop them back in and squonk. I haven't had any issues or problems with the bottles.

The squonk bottle tube may need to be replaced at some point. Spare tubing can easily be found at Amazon or any decent aquarium store. The tubing should be food grade silicone. Some bottles use 2mm ID X 5mm OD while others use 2mm ID X 4mm OD. Measure the tube before ordering.

Like this 2mm ID X 4mm OD silicone tube from Amazon.

If, and when, you do replace the tube remember to cut one end at an angle. Same as the tube is cut in every squonk bottle. The angled end goes into the bottle.

Thanks for the info and the link. I'm looking forward to trying it out. If I like it, I probably be ordering another one.

I agree that vodka can be a great cleaning agent, but I don't like to keep alcohol in the house. I bet the Dawn soap and a hot water rinse will get the job done to my satisfaction.
White vinegar works in place of the vodka

EDIT just read @Shadav's reply. Vinegar is fine on metal parts. I use it for cleaning my SS sinks and have never had a problem. I prefer it to chemical cleaners in most applications

I got a lot of shinies today! :rickroll: Mostly tanks. One order came from FT - Placed March 1st, shipped March 16, got here today. Yeah, I typed that right - MARCH. The second order from HC - Placed April 22, got here today. I can say I highly recommend HC. But only when they have a coupon code! Their shipping is five times as high but you’ll get your package in weeks rather than a month +. And that means weeks or months less anxiety. I’m going to give things a nice warm sudsy bath and then have a nice picture day like back in high school.

I placed an order the day you posted. They generated a shipping label but the order hasn’t been fulfilled yet. I’ve only ordered twice from them before because their slackness was maddening. The first time, I placed an order with them and another company the same day. I received the order from the other company and NR (it was still NR back then) hadn’t even got to boxing my stuff. I called up their customer service and chewed their ear off. With this sale, and what I can imagine, a swamp of orders, I’m not expecting them to send my order till next week honestly.
    If then...

Vinegar is definitely ok for cleaning metal but not rubber. Where plastic fits in probably depends on the type.

See you in the morning shinies
    Happy squonking.

@Robfisher stunning mods but prefer the Malaysian one although the penguin looks super comfortable :)

Tried the Red Pill today off the shake and thing it needs a steep. All I'm getting at the moment is the menthol/ice ;)

I also really love the prices I see on HC, but I'll always check other sites after I've seen what the S&H cost is going to be. The other day I was loading up a cart and they threw in a free fidget spinner. I was like, okay cool. Go to checkout. That fidget spinner, since it was being shipped from Shenzen and the rest of my order was from Hong Kong, was going to cost me $12 - to ship a free fidget spinner. Hahahahaha - no.
