I am using a single core clapton coil 1.5 ohms, and vape at 20 watts, not getting strong throat hit, maybe down to only using the side air holes, I will have to test it and see.
I have a feeling the throat hit might be the cranberry sprite mix that I am vaping. If you can, let me know how you like it with the inside AF opened up. I was able to even get a good RDL vape going when I opened them up.

Rebuilt the Aegis Plus RDTA this morning - cuz I'm like a kid with a new rba, and have to try everything :w00t:

It was a warm vape at 25 watts with a 3mm id 6 wrap 30*2/40 coil, so I nuked that one.

I stuck in the Tripod insert and a 2.5mm id ni80 30*2/40 6 wrap coil:

Much cooler vape. The insert tones down some of the airiness - running it with 6 out 8 holes open feels the same draw as the Axial RDA.

Flavour is way up there. Not in Dvarw league, but pretty close to it. It's an awesome lil device.
Your setup looks uhhhh, excessively juicy.

I think only wonderful things with this pod kit for how much it cost and it's versatility. It's definitely pretty airy by default, but I'm between an RDL and DL depending on the draw temp. I'm not sure what you meant by the tripod insert, but if it covers that vent hole just above the fire button, I think that would solve a lot of airyness issues.

I have tubs and tubs of atties. For a while I was buying everything I saw. And ten of the ones I liked. No idea what I even have.
This is currently me, except I'm still testing everything to figure out what I should buy 10 of, lol.

You're slapping your mods? Naughty.

"There’s an essential fire locking dial doofafirkin" - is that legitimate terminology? o_O

What did he mean by using a "thin ribbon from an old dead mod" in regards to getting the battery out? Also, what if I don't have an old dead mod yet. >.>

    Then you're screwed

Any thin fabric will do. A supermarket will have a girly hair accessories dept. Just grab something there that has a small ribbon, about 1cm in width.

And it helps to pull out a battery, if you have a no smacking rule in your household.

I took full advantage of its waterproof trait'
As for the insert - I stuck a 1.8mm id airflow insert from an RTA, into the 4mm id bottom airflow hole below the coil.

For you single coil RTA lovers. MTL and RDL - this looks interesting.

You know, this one really perplexes me. I was hoping they would've kept something of the dual coil OG's ingenious deck and chimney but it's totally different. I was thinking they shouldn't even call it Arbiter. But Todd says flavor is lovely, so there's that.

I haven't built my RDTA yet - too many shinies came at once. ADHD running at full tilt. But your pics are really enticing me to give it some loving attention. :thumb:

With the GT4, how are you using the AF? For me so far I like one side only - the more open one. I get a noisy af if I use the more restricted side or both. Might be my coil placement. Any chance you could post a photo of your build?

I use the two opposing holes fully open for a restricted direct lung. I’m not a MTL guy. How are you finding it so far? How would you rate flavor production? I think it’s beating my Ammit 25 and edging out my DVARWs partly due to the fact that it’s so much easier to build. :thumb:

I'm finding it good so far. It's easy to put a build in but has a few possible variations. Really interesting RTA.

I'm not a big fan of throat hit and I've found if if the coil is a bit too high it's too harsh for me.

The way the underneath airholes are spaced I have to be careful to make sure my wicks don't touch the deck and leak - especially on the negative post side.

I've tried 5 and a 6 wrap 3mm ID dual core fused claptons (0.5 ish) and next I'll try a 3mm quad core fused clapton (0.3 Ohms) . It will be wider with the same number of wraps so hopefully will take away the risk of the wick edges contacting the AF holes.

Overall I really like it - enjoying the challenge of getting the best build going.
So far the Dvarw DL gives me better flavour. Early days.

Nothing has surpassed the flavour with my Dvarw's yet!! You have to watch the reviewers' assessment of atties I find although I know the Kayfun route is a tried and tested goody. The Cabeo is a good example...rave flavour reviews but when I asked @Robfisher about it he said that it didn't beat his Dvarw's.

At the moment I'm kind of stuck on my BB's, the Abyss and Dvarw's!!
