Hiya folks!!

This morning while doing my daily ritual (strong short espresso and checking emails) a vape shop in Alicante sent me an email that they were closing down.
I did a couple of translating jobs for them, spoke to the owner a couple of times and he was a nice guy but his rent got jacked up and he just couldn't cover costs.

Anyway he told me to check the website because he had a one day sale with a lot of good offers.

End of the month is a bad time for me (always strapped for cash at the end of the month he he) but i saw this Kylin Mini V2 for just 14.99 euros, with delivery it came out to 19.95 euros so yeah i took the plunge without even watching a review for it which is strange for me since i like to do my research beforehand.

Oh well,i will receive it tomorrow and hope for the best.

I only watch reviews before buying mods. I want to know if they have defects or weird quirks that will make them die faster or just not be suitable for me. For atties, I look at the deck and the airflow- well, and dimension. I don’t care what the reviews say about performance/flavor/etc. I sometimes watch reviews after I buy one just to see how they build and wick (cuz I’m lazy and why trial and error when someone else already has? Lol). Especially when it’s on sale, I’ll just snag it while I can and usually I can make them work for me.

On a whim, I ordered two galaxies rtas yesterday. I really don't have any interest in the rdtas and don't want rainbow. I've never tried one before so I'll look up a video. Hopefully it wasn't a foolish purchase.

    Yep,same here.

Can't really afford to buy a dud so i do my research before i buy any vaping apparatus.

Today i broke my rule and went full in,they only had one left and the price was very good plus i was looking into a top airflow rta to get right away because at the moment i am using my Destiny RTA and it's on its last legs.
Watched the video @Pigs linked me and read a couple more reviews, looks like a pretty decent rta so it seems i didn't do bad transaction...i hope he he,tomorrow when it gets here i will give it a try and see.

Need something to use until my fasttech order gets here, waiting for the 2nd of june so i can use that juicy discount,so far in my cart got a Juggerknot,a Dvarw (both clones) and cool looking man bag ;)

Yep . Missing your presence Col @lupinehorror and @TrollDragon . You guys doin ok?
All good here, in a few weeks I get my second shot then I'll be fully Moderna-ized. ;)

Still using old gear (KFv4), all the cloud stuff has been retired. I have been beta testing a tube mod/mtl tank combo from Steam Crave that should be going into production very soon. All I can say is, I like it!
    :vapor:

In other news IKKO Audio is sending a pair of their OH-10 IEMs for me to write a review on. It's been years since I've written any reviews so it should be entertaining, I'm looking forward to hearing these.

    Keep safe everyone!

Guys I am loving this Pulse! Lots to learn about the menu, so it’ll take me a couple days to write it up. Great mod though. What a hit! I’ve been vaping that Luxe Q, a Dot, and now that Abyss, and I have really been missing that big fat lung hit I only get from a sweet squonker. It really hits the spot.

What do you think of the Abyss so far? Are you running the rba in it?

    Morning shinies ;)

    Good morning shinies

@AngeNZ great pics Ange....have they been through post processing?

Have a great day everyone

A bit of contrast, sharpening and structure. The later two are blurry, either due to my manual focusing or that my lens had frost all over it and condensation. A lens hood would help prevent that?

Edited to add: I found it really hard to keep the moon in picture, with the lens zoomed out so far. It seriously gave me so much appreciation for you guys who capture flying birds. I'm going to practise with mountain tops, in daylight and they better not move!

The pulse 2 is fantastic, it's so much bigger than my other squonkers - but I love using it too much :D

Yes, I’ve got the Ether in it, and that’s an easy build. I put a pre-made coil in it, 3.0 id (because I was feelin lazy and didn’t feel like swapping out the 3.5 rod in my jig to wrap lol). The mod is really solid and fabulous in hand. Very well done. Solid button, totally silent. I do not love taking the top plate off - and it seems like I’ll have to do a lot of that because it doesn’t get very good battery life. At all. I have to swap at least 30% sooner than any other mod I can think of. I’m using an 18650, and I will try it with a 21700. But still... I put the 3.0 AF in it, and get a hit about like BB - quite restricted, but not too much so for my tastes.
I know there’s a lot of love for these, but it’s not my fave. I like it okay, wouldn’t buy another tbh.

I can understand this, but I find trial and error a better way of understanding why a deck is created the way it is for appreciation and design sake. The why answer can then be translated into some sort of improvement or work around if something isn't working properly or if there are better ways of going about it. It also gives me a reason to fix underlying issues rather than chalking up a mod or tank as bad and tossing it into a bin somewhere if I can't find the answer on YT or a forum.

The other day after fooling around with the Uwell Fancier, I decided to use it both in RDTA and squonk config together. Upon running into some messy predicaments, I was thinking to myself - why not create a squonk pin inside of a sleeve with a slot that can be spun to turn it off and on? That way it could serve both the purpose of shutting the squonk down as to not accidentally squeeze the bottle, for taking out the RDTA/RTA (much less of a potential mess), and also allow the ability to use RDTAs on top of squonks for a juice extension (in cases with like the THC Tauren RTA with only 2 mL of tank space). Or even a pin that could be shifted over or pressed in to plug the squonk hole when needed. All of the reviews I've seen so far are for RDTA or squonk. Not having access to both at the same time, which is what I went ahead and tried, and it works beautifully. In fact, some of the reviewers mentioned it but made scoffing remarks something similar to "but why would anyone ever wanna do that?" Because I can, and I want to, lol.

Basically, I would have never found what I was looking for on YouTube or thought of any improvements for it.

But back to the initial point of your post - I do agree. Researching before and after purchases is definitely beneficial in regards to longevity and efficiency for purchasing a product. I guess I'm more interested in the innovation aspect.

I just find stuff like coil leg lengths, what ID they use, that cuts my trial time down a lot. I always want to stuff a 3.5 id in a deck and that’s not always a good thing. Saves me throwing wire away, at least, to listen to folks who know more than I do.
