It's safe and easy to do. If you don't have a heat gun, use a hair dryer on low power to shrink the new wrap in place having removed the torn one.
The tricky bit for me is holding the insulator ring in place. It can easily blow off and you really need to make sure it's included in the re-wrap. I use a pair of ceramic tweezers to keep it steady until the wrap has curled around it, holding it from escaping. Then just keep heating it until the wrap shrinks tightly around the whole battery.
I've been using it for years - simple, functional.

That's just put me off from trying a 3mm.....an SS coil should crackle though regardless of the wicking technique but to me if an Ni80 is crackling more than slightly it's not wicking properly....maybe ok for you if you leave a long time between draws but that sounds dangerously close to a dry wick to me....of course YMMV
I don't think you understood my post Charlie. I'm saying I wick a bit looser than a lot of people. Dry hits aren't in the picture - if I get it wrong it's gonna be on the side of gurgling/flooding. But I don't ever seem to have a problem with that either.;)
I'm ok with wicking RTAs and have been for a long time. No problems.
Chain vaping never an issue either.

Let me try this again lol. I use kosher koils ni80 rba aliens. Check out his website. As far as the Mobb Mini watch a couple reviews on YouTube. The coil placement is crazy high instead of down close to the airflow “ don’t know how it works but it just does”. The wicking is like the Exocet and Zeta. The mobb has little tiny juice cups and I believe that’s why it works so well. Be careful with the little tiny “ and I mean tiny” post screws. That’s the only drawback to the rba. I’ve got or hadmost of the boro rba’s and this one is my favorite.
Thanks for that @Truckin Vaper .Just checked out the website. Some nice looking coils!.

Keen to try out the Mobb. :thumb:

My poor Asmodus get a bit neglected these days! I tend to prioritise my DNA Good Wood;)
The Asmodus collection looks pretty happy to me but hope you've got good locks on your doors and windows - @stabwood is good might be paying you a midnight visit.

Hey any chance of a mug shot line-up of your other woods?

Yes....I did misunderstand....that's exactly how I wick. It's actually quite difficult to consistently get it right/keep the balance.....

The 3mm might be back on then :pervy:

    Morning shinies ;)

Yup, I looked at the P series coils too when I first shopped for an Aegis Boost Plus/Pro. They don't have any coils in that series rated below 40 watts, which is why I went with the B series.

But since the Boost Plus replacement pod cartridges are compatible with the Pro, it's an easy fix
I figured as much - that was the first thing I noticed when I looked up the B-series coils. But yes, it's nice that most of items for the Plus are also compatible with the Pro.

I just watched a video- Todd says it’s only available through a FB group... should I ask the group name? A little apprehensive since he said just the extra AF are 40 euros lol. I can’t really swing $100 for a bridge right now. Looks great though.

@hittman just remembered by that in Celsius temp control is 230 tops....450F. I use power mode only so can't say more than that... hope that helps :)
    For a decently accurate and quick conversion from C to F, multiply C by 2, subtract 10% of that figure, and then add 32. 230 x 2 = 460. 460 - 46 = 414. 414 + 32 = 446.

Vaporrange, operated by the folks at ASMODUS, still has some stuff. Use code MOTHER15
I thought someone in here had mentioned that they work hand in hand with Azzmodus? I wonder why they didn't just consolidate gear over to that store instead of literally giving it away.

Because they are two different companies:thumb:
