so hand feel is similar to a Mixx?
Not quite as small and rounded as the Mixx but same battery tube and same firing button position. Same ASP chipset. No doubt different colours and 3rd party doors etc will come on to the market. Same 510 nut as a BB so all the integrated tips already available will fit.

RDL - So far I'd have to say the Mobb Mini is right on par with the Xeta. Maybe better. Beats the VapeShell and VapeSnail for flavour.
I'm using the exact same 0.5 Ohm Ni80 fused claptons, same cotton and same juice. Both in BBs.

The draw on the Xeta with the widest chimney reducer installed is tighter than the Mobb wide open with the 3.5mm af pin. I'm going to try the 3mm pin today. I'm running the Mobb at around 28W and the Xeta at 24W.

It's still only my first build in the Mobb and I started with the top of the coil just poking up above the top of the posts. Next I plan to try placing it higher so that about half the coil is sitting above the posts. That seems to be the sweet spot according to most pundits. Pretty sure @Hightech Redneck mentioned he a preferred high coil placement.

The post screws are tiny grubs and the SXK version comes with a really flimsy little Allen key. It's not a great fit and feels like it could strip the blighters easily.
@NolaMel I'd recommend using a better quality tool if you have one that small. I don't, but plan to visit the hardware store today to get a set.

There are some decent close up build shots in this review:

That’s how I build mine. Coil center half above the posts. What I like about the Mobb is doesn’t seem very finicky wicking like some of the other rba’s. Put cotton thru coil , I trim it almost flush and just fluff it up around the juice hole. No dry hits and excellent flavor. The airflow seems a tiny bit smoother on the Exocet V2 but it doesn’t wick as effortlessly as the Mobb

Maybe it was you (not Redneck) talking about the high coil position before?
I agree about the wicking - it keeps up really well. Sounds like the Exocet V2 is a good one to get too.

I found the airflow was noticeably smoother with the 3mm than the 3.5. I raised my coil at the same time so it might have been a combination.

I really like the Exocet V2. It’s super easy to install the coil. Very smooth airflow “just gotta be careful taking out the boro or the pin will fall out”. Good flavor when wicked right. This one took me some time to get the wicking working good “ not nearly as easy as the Mobb although the design is basically the same”. For some time I was wicking too tight and when I refilled I’d get a few dry hits before it started wicking again. All in all very good rba.

Good morning shinies

@Fredman1 I agree about ready made coils...not just the innokins....they all seem to have a different taste to my RBA's. Cotton used, type of coil....I don't know but I can always taste something in comparison to my standard rebuildables. It's why I generally stay away from them. They do need a long break in depending on coil type too....and something bugs me about the throw away aspect too....

Have a good day everyone

Stumbled into this thread while doing some searching for RCM info. Came across @Tralfaz and his collection. Now, can't wait till my Gradiant Black Metallic Basilisk arrives.

Figured I'd post some of my favorites while I'm here.

Noisy Cricket with Copper Sulfate etch of dueling dragons. I can't seem to not mod mods.

Another MadModders DNA250 box, sadly no longer with me.

Wanted a stabilized hybrid box, so I made one. Still my favorite mod.

Wanted a squonk box for road trips, and just love the Joker. Unfortunately I didn't have vibrant purple and green placement, but when I do, I'll print this again.

Feel free to reach out with any questions or comments.
Hi there @EvlSmrk .
Really like the look of your modded mods.
I'd like to try some of that Copper Sulfate etching. Is it a complicated process?

First impression of the Aspire/Atmizoo Qbix rba.

It may be designed by Atmizoo but the build quality is nowhere near. Mine has sharp edges and pretty rough machining. No problem for a 20 dollar Chinese-built RBA ,which this is, but if people expect Atmizoo quality (130 Euro for a VapeSnail) they'll be disappointed.

I'm happy with it for the price - in fact it's good value imo. Included are 10 different sized AF pins from 4mm all the way down to 0.8mm. Plus it has an AFC ring to fine tune it.

Qbix af insert sizes.jpg

Like the VapeSnail it comes in its own tank - same size as a boro, so fits any BB style device. It's a different design to the snail though - the Qbix is gravity fed /the snail has underneath wick ports.
Haven't built it yet so can't comment on how it vapes.

I shall be interested to see if the machining is bad on mine. Mark Todd's review just described it as a vapesnail....I'll let you know :)

You’re right. I shall rebel by writing in cursive and using obsolete colloquialisms, like “hand me the clicker” and “TV dinner”.

If you really want to rebel you gotta wear one of these:

corsets-gwtw.jpg

That Corset alone will grant you +25 Oldie Cool points, just sayin'

Gum boots here are called shrimp boots, and they’re white. Poor choice for messy work, but white they are
That’s how you tell the new people from the old (experienced) ones.
We had bright yellow jackets and aprons at the factory where I worked. The new guys were called bananas - fitting because you had to be bananas to do that job for $6.35/hr.

Speaking of coils that taste weird, I’m test driving the VV Troll X. I don’t usually use the included coils if they’re Ni80 but I did this time. I’m not sure if the weird taste is the coils, the shoe lace cotton or the tank itself. I washed it well, as usual. It seems to be fading a bit, just filled it for the third time. I’m going to clean it again and put some SS in it and hopefully that’ll fix it. Nice atty otherwise.
I’m trying out the Wotofo Pyro v2 also. I’m not sure I like it as much as the V1 but I need to set that one up and do a side by side.

I saw on FB that Lost Vape has changed the name of the new dna100c mod from Scutum to Hyperion. Good move in my opinion. Also retail is $159. Still a little rich for me.

Oh good! Who wants a mod with a name that looks like scrotum and sounds like a cat throwing up!

Nope nope nope! Hand knitted socks and sensible shoes are going to have to suffice. I don’t even think they make bodice lace long enough to string a corset to fit my carb-addicted middle!
