Came across it at FT a few minutes ago.

I agree about the luxe Q. It's always in my farm top pocket, and I only notice it's there when I grab it.

Which brings me to my problem. My jacket pockets are filthy - lint, fluff, feathers, dust, dirt and of course crap. How do I stop this crap, going into the mouthpiece? The first time I noticed it, I blew out the airflow. But I now keep it in a lil plastic seal top bag, which is a PITA but does the trick.

Anyone got a better idea to keep your pod crap free?

that's why for a pocket mod my preference is for the Z-Biip...those have caps to protect the mouthpiece from getting stuff in it when thrown into a pocket or a purse.

I don't understand why all these little pods don't have them...

I also noticed FT discontinued the Think Vape Craton DNA 75C, the Dani mod clone.

That one was only recently announced. I don't think they ever shipped any. And I wonder if Dicodes threatened them with a lawsuit.

I fully agree. If I was Dicodes I certainly would have gone after them. That's partly my German heritage speaking too.

Any suit would have likely fallen under intellectual property infringement law.

Intellectual property (IP) infringement refers to any violation or breach of protected intellectual property rights. Your IP rights may have been infringed upon if your work that is protected by IP laws is copied or otherwise used or exploited without your permission.

A work or invention that is the result of creativity, such as a manuscript or a design, to which one has rights and for which one may apply for a patent, copyright, trademark, etc.

BTW: One owns the design rights, even if it's scribbled on a tiny piece of paper. That is very true under US law and likely International law. And it's true for every piece of music the wife and I wrote.

Not seeing any improvement over the v3 but then I'm not a fan of straight edges on mods. Curious why they bothered honestly. Hopefully they used a better battery door at least. Love my v3s so will give this one a pass. The 3 v3s will likely last my lifetime anyway.

If you read the specs at Element... "Constructed from durable zinc-alloy ..."

The Double Barrel v3's were made from heavy duty stainless steel. Mine is quite heavy with the batteries installed and without. In fact, if I were to drop it on my bare foot it would break a toe or two. Pretty sure @NolaMel said something similar a couple years back.

My suspicion is that Eric Buss, founder of Squid Industries, sold Squid to some Chinese company.

Never on any Squid advertising would you ever have seen anything like the ChinoEnglish "Overtime smoking protection".

The display on that v4 looks just like another recent mods display. Can't put my finger on it ATM.

I would be be very suspicious if the new mod doesn't have the same very heavy duty build quality of the OG Double Barrel's. Also if the v4 doesn't have the same quality internals, heavy duty gauge wiring and components, like so...

Somewhere, I imagine Eric groaning at the looks of the v4.

The OG Double Barrel's were specifically designed to look like a double barrel shotgun.

I never liked the look of the Squid that much but I don't doubt that it'll be a long lasting beater for owners...looks comfortable to hold

I had one of the Double Barrel V2.1 mods. I really liked the size and feel but it was dead after a week. Board failure. Apparently they had some issues with that version and fixed it with the V3.
