My "new to me" mech squonker is an authentic JD Tech Dos Equis squonker. I bought it in the classifieds within moments of it being listed.

The body frame is aluminum with a black powder coat. End caps are brass. It has a Cappy V4 RS Kompakt (BFX) bottle.

I took it down to bits and pieces for a good deep cleaning.

I have it paired with a FLVR rda. The FLVR was made for a small squonker.

Next to the dotSquonk for size comparison. The dotSquonk is one of the smaller mech squonkers. The Dos Equis is the smallest single 18650 squonker that I know of. I've been wanting one since they were released back in 2016 or '17. They were a very limited release in brass, aluminum and a colored one (300 each). Naturally they sold out fast but I never gave up hope of owning one someday. Good things do come to those who wait.

Hand check. It is my very favorite mech squonker. This baby hasn't left my side since I put her back together.

ETA: I was texting with my ECF consultant, @NolaMel, when it got posted in the classies. Mel said "jump on it now". I did, along with another mod. More to come on that one...

It's always been easy for me to select vape gear for an away trip. A couple regulated mods and a couple mechs. A couple RDA's and RTA's. Some batteries and one of my 2 bay chargers. And of course, a healthy selection of juices. Some wire, wicking and basic tools (just in case) and I'm set. My vape gear even has it's own carrying case.

I'm only going away for an overnighter, so I'll only take about half as much stuff. I'll take my Gen with the Dead Rabbit RTA and my Sensis as backup since it uses the same charger as my phone and tablet. Also, a spare set of batteries and a two bay charger, 2x the amount of juice I would normally use, and a spare coil for the Sensis.

Remember my grandfather coming round when I was a kid to give my dad some special new grass seed that contained clover. Supposedly good for the soil. Fixes nitrogen or something.

Coil guru advice needed!
I stuck in the coil below this morning. It was sort of glowing inside out, apart from one wrap (arrowed in pic). This wrap was glowing brighter - like the centre one should:

Ni80, 30*2/40, 2.5mm id on Dvarw DL

I squeezed it with tweezers, lit a candle to the vape gods, but still the same. So in the end I dunked it under the tap and cleaned it. It behaved perfectly after that.

What would cause it?

I took the z80 outside. It wears a Dvarw DL more than the Zenith II

Giant Hardy is all I know. That flower is 9” across. It looks hilarious from the street and I’ve overheard people wondering why I’d put a giant fake plant there. It’s got over 50 buds on it so it’ll be quite a show. The grandkids used to pick them and wear them like hats.

Yep. Out 'n about, riding horses and playing in Nature. I did snap a photo or two this time. One of many trails on her land. Some get pretty narrow. Others you need to get off the horse or get whacked in the head by a branch. Always head on a swivel.
