@Doffy @Pigs

So in real world terms...

1. Coil heats more evenly.
2. Less hotspots.
3. Longer lasting coil and cotton.
4. More efficient usage of the coil surface area.

PS. If it's the same as a dicodes chip then it's much much cheaper :)

Anyone shop USA anymore for mods? Looking for coupons or a way around the adult sig.
Not I. Ever since adult sig. went into effect and USA shops started collecting personal data (who you are, contact, what you purchased), reporting that info to the ATF and your state AG --- per the PACT Act --- I've said "no freakin' way" to buying any vape gear in the USA.

IMO, it's not worth it and the stupid Gov Nanny's don't need to know what I buy. These days, in the USA, buying a gun is easier than buying vape gear.

I've been buying gear from Europe and the Far East. The places I've been buying from are shipping via DHL, FedEx and UPS. The exceptions are places like FT, Sourcemore and other Chinese sites who are still using USPS and no adult sig. is required.

As I see it, this new "4th generation" technology (AC) will create a disturbance in the vaping world. It's catching on hugely from what I see/hear. I think other designers are scrambling to get a share of this new market.
I love it and will get the other colours..in time, but i'll rather stay clear of the "limited edition" hype for now. It's just way to expensive for me. When the dust settles, it'll be interesting to see what colours they make available.
After reading about the new technology I think one could very easily call it the new TC, in disguise. If you think about what is going on with the new technology, higher Hz is akin to higher heat and vice versa. It's my understanding that, for example, 250hz runs hotter than say a cooler 50hz. Higher energy, more heat, yes?

These days most of the mod companies have been putting out mods with no temp control. TC wasn't as popular as they thought it would be. TC does have a large following, just not as large as simple wattage vapers. TC will always be popular with those who prefer DNA, Dicodes and Yihi chipsets.

My Big Bad Brunhilde eats those little silly dwarfs as a midnight snack:lol:
 Don't send your Brunhilde's to @Skeebo. He is a wizard with heat. Very serious magical powers I tell you. He will turn your Ladies into Dvarw men. I'm sure he could turn them into women Dvarw's too, if you wanted.

Ummm... Brunhilde's turned into Dvarw's would look very cool on your Good Wood Mate. :D

Do they still have to report a person with purchase from a vape shop locally? I don't have paypal or a credit card. My bank for the debit card refuses out of country purchases. I'm debating on just letting the goobermint know me. If I pay the tax I should be good. I'm thinking of only ordering from vendors who take out the tax. What can the government do with my info? Who knows but I'm weakening and haven't bought anything since the start of the PACT act.

It's interesting but I'm still confused how alternating current can heat a coil of resistance wire more efficiently than direct current. I've read the Fourier explanations and the same blurb on the Innokin site.
Help me here Fred - how is it better?
Changing the frequency of the AC is the key they claim but how does this make it taste different or better?
I am right with you there T. I've read the Fourier explanations as well. They do not provide enough information for me to make any kind of determination how exactly it is working. Part of me wonders, marketing ploy???

As you know well, currently (no pun intended) when we hit fire on a mod the current conventionally flows from the positive terminal through the coil to the negative.

In an alternating current (AC) circuit the two poles alternate between negative and positive and the direction of the current (electron flow) reverses periodically.

Perhaps they figured out how to alternate the current direction?

It would be nice if we had more information.

ETA: I posted this before I saw and read your friends explanation.

It is my understanding that all US based shops, online or local, are required under the PACT Act to collect your info and purchasing history, store it for up to 5 years and report it to the ATF and state AG.

I think each of us has to decide what could come of both the State and Federal goobermint having our info. The ATF has been known to conduct raids where they have confiscated good citizens property. Most never get that property back. From my perspective, we do not know what they may, or may not do. For folks who have very large stashes, it is something to consider.

My vape stash is distributed between three locations that are geographically spread out. Having worked in Disaster Recovery for a large corporation I know well what can happen with all the eggs in one basket. That's why my gear and supplies are spread out.

My bank debit card, BMO Harris, does allow overseas purchases. I've used my debit card once or twice but do prefer using a credit card because of the protections those offer. Same with PayPal. I wonder if you talk with your banker, if they have the option to allow your card to work with overseas purchases. Might be worth a call to see.

As it stands today, theoretically you should be ok, but if guv decides at some point to make vapes illegal then what? Who's to stop the ATF, and/or state authorities, from conducting raids once they have your purchasing history? No one.

For me buying in the good old USA is a firm no go. I do not trust the goobermint at all. They've already proven themselves to be the enemy of vapers. That alone speaks volumes, IMO.

No shops around here are asking for ANY info when a purchase is made. We always pay cash anyway. Maybe it's because we use cash. They don't know any info....nothing about us. And there are about 4 shops in my immediate area. Hope that helps. Maybe CALL the local shop and ask.

IMO, common sense tells me that this new technology is not at all the same as the very finely tuned German Dicodes, Evolv DNA or Yihi chipsets. Those three have been 'in the game' for quite some time and have refined their product offerings.

But for fun, lets say they were able to make the better widget... good on them. And if that were the case I would very naturally think every Chinese mod maker would want to license this technology if for no other reason than to put others out of business. I mean, that's the way business works. It's dog eat dog for dominance.

    B-b-but... :D

I wanted to check with my partner. She said she did pay tax, but they never asked for any identification whatsoever. I think as long as the government gets their taxes, they don't care who is buying. :)

Which is funny to me since UPS, Fedex, and DHL have all said they aren't shipping vaping gear. I've gotten stuff from UPS and FedEx. I've gotten several review samples that came in inside out DHL bags. I think they are being brought into the country via DHL and then shipped USPS.

Hey @hittman I just got my Cup A Joe. Do you recall your % on that?

I used it at 4% in two different recipes that I liked.

The senders on the last couple packages I received were not labeled as company names. They were from private citizens and shipped from their residences. One was from the Philippines and the other from Switzerland. I started noticing companies getting creative with shipping at the end of last year with one from Hungary and another from Greece. They all used either FedEx, UPS or DHL and their customs declarations were also very creative.

The authorities are on the losing side when it comes to completely stopping shipments of vape products.
One company that has vape in the name, the only thing they need to do, and there are some that have already done so, is to have another name in the shipping.
