I've been running 3mm 316 MTL Clapton coils in both of my DL FL Dvarws since I got them. They are doing fine with that size coil. I don't have an MTL version. At least not yet.
Not sure if anyone has mentioned this Mel, but have you tried tightening your 510 centre pin and checking everything's snug including insulators and post screws ?
Something is off. It’s built, but I had one leg I screwed/unscrewed several times before that side of the coil would behave. It’s behaving ok now. Coil glowed evenly before I wicked. I just need a good nights sleep before I can wrap my head around it I think.

Since I got my first one, it's only had a raspberry VBIC mix on it. I tried to change it to another flavour, but kept going back to it as I preferred in f0 mode. I can finally experiment
