Ok guys I need some help.

I have a friend who is a casual vaper and has been borrowing and destroying my mods. Just managed to kill two Vinci X pod mods (he had washed one out and presented it to me. I opened up the battery compartment and water flooded out. I explained to him again about battery safety and showed him some youtube vids of 18650 batteries venting. He went pale) He's a nice guy but is very impractical. So I need to give him advice about a setup that he can buy.

He can't be trusted to safely manage external battery mods and chargers so I'm thinking a rugged internal battery mod kit. Drop in coils for sure. He would be happiest vaping around 40 to 60W with plenty of air.

Any thoughts ? I want to try and buy something online with him today and I need it to come from a local Aus site. @AngeNZ does anything come to mind?

Dont recall seeing much discussion on this one.

    And go!

    ;)

I like that it comes with the rba, and it's a 21700. But for me, it will depend on how big it is and the price. Bonus points if they do a pink version :D

My first thought was the jackaroo mini 128w kit. Since it's got a 4000mah battery, running it at 50w won't drain it so fast.

Check the prices in your other stores too as I haven't yet.

Yep gotta agree with AngeNZ on this one.
Since i reviewed the Jackaroo mini 128w kit i have used it on a daily basis, when i recharge it i switch to my Grus but otherwise it's Jack everyday everywhere hehe.

Here is a link to the review in case you want to show it to your friend:

Vandy Vape Jackaroo Mini Kit - Review by Javichu

But yeah if he is a bit impractical a device like a Jackaroo would be the best way for him to be safe.

First thing that raced into my mind mate, is the Jackaroo pod kit. Fantastic for all day vaping. The coils are some of the best out there.
I see they're available all over Aussie to.

Ah I see i've been beaten. Yeah the Jackaroo mini might even be better for him

Thanks Fred. I like the 4000mAh internal battery on the Mini. Will see what he says but will show him both.

I’d suggest an old Geekvape aegis mini kit or the new M100. Also if he likes pod mods the new Freemax 60 or 80 waterproof mods are nice. I reviewed the 60 and really liked it.

Thanks @hittman  . Will run those past him too.

If you’ve ever used Freemax devices before then you know their coils produce great flavor. The Marvos coils are really good.

I've seen and read a stack of reviews about Freemax products but never owned any. Might be time to try some.

I mentioned in passing a while back that
I always liked the JAC Series B DNA 75 mod, but never bought one when they were still around.

Then out of the blue a few weeks ago I got a parcel in the mail from NZ. The handwriting was a familiar scrawl, but I couldn't place it.
Anyway, after tearing off the ten layers of bubble wrap, and taking the cap off a cardboard tube...you guessed it...a JAC Series B!!

@Fredman1 again showing the generosity and spirit of the great people here.

Thanks Fred - I love the little mod. It's sleak, cool and a new fav. :thumb::thumb::thumb:

That’s awesome! I have four of them. I bought one refurbished cheap and it’s like brand new.

I love this SHINY SUPPORT sub forum. I was trying to convey to someone how we are all so so different but everyone is always so helpful and caring whether it’s vape related or occasionally off topic. You guys are great.

I never did describe our relationships very well but that’s ok as long as I feel it. Much much more than just a thread of obsessive capers buying vape gear!

One other thought on the wicking of the Fat Rabbit. I should’ve picked up on this myself since it’s very similar in design to the steam crave Aromizer or Supreme.

it leaked like a sieve too until I found fix videos and comments. This type of rta and it’s top cap need a certain filling procedure.

I always close the afc’s when filling then put the cap back on. At this point to create a vacuum in the tank I turn it over
/ upside down a couple of times then take some big draws to complete the vacuum effect.

I do this drawing and firing a few times at lower than usual wattage. If it’s done perfectly there should be bubbles coming up from the bottom of the tank. That’s what seals the deal.

The Supreme and Aromasizer was one of my very first RTAs and I wouldn’t suggest those atties for any noobies. It had me so frustrated I put it done for a month!

I think even Steam Crave had a video and blurb on the leaks people were getting after filling it. close the afc and the juice control then put the cap on. Turn mod upside down a couple of times then take several hard pulls to complete the vacuum without firing it. Also don’t fill all the way because it needs that air space to also finish the vacuum effect. And Voila! no leaky tanks!

I hope this helps someone new to building those types of RTAs. Good thing to do for many rtas as well for unexplained leaking after checking for bad o rings.

Did some tinkering this weekend on the Asmodus @Daniel Forsyth gave me. The button is a bit to recessed for me, so I lifted it a bit by putting in some epoxy. Uncle Google says one of the colours that matches well with lime green is grey. I picked out a medium dark grey with some pearl in it, and sprayed the button and battery cover.
Here's I before and after. What do you think?
