@ShowMeTwice and @Fredman1 - you guys inspired me to break out the Arise again.

I had a look at the 6 wrap fused clapton build I was using and decided to pull a wrap off. It was looking too wide for the single 2.5mm AF insert.
Wow - what a difference. So much better flavour now. Got it on the Chunky Monkey.

No it's the SXK Supbox. I've got it set up in a different way to most - that SS battery tube and top plate were accessories available last year from FT but looks like they don't sell them anymore.

  • Replacement 18650 / 18350 Battery Tube + Ring
Battery Tube + Atomizer Ring (SXK ) / SKU: 9732877
Gives the Supbox (Chunky Monkey) a kind of stripped back look that I like. Built like a brick outhouse too.

Dont recall seeing much discussion on this one.

And go!

;)

That sure looks interesting.
Made a list of all types of vaping devices and thankfully thanks to my reviews i am checking items off that list.
Still missing a dual coil atty (on it's way),mesh atty haven't tried yet and last one would be one of these Billet box type mods.

Does seem easy enough to put together and get it running, once it comes out i will put it on my list of devices to ask for reviewing and if I'm lucky i might get it ;)

Have read thou that these type of devices tend to leak or accumulate condensation,is that a norm for all these type of mods?

I do like the shape of it thou,i mean it's just a box with no protruding atomizer just the itsy-bitsy drip tip, does look cool.

Morning folks,how y'all doing?

Sunday here and pops wanted a special meal so I've spent like 2 hours making him a ''Cocido'',special dish done in the pressure cooker that has chickpeas, vegetables, turkey breast, chorizo, morcilla (blood sausage),pelotas (special Spanish meatballs),it's a pain to cook but it is really a good dish for a cold Sunday.

No universal condensation problem with boro mods but some RBAs create a bit, some even a lot. I've honestly never found it an issue that a quick wipe with a tissue every few days doesn't solve.
But if you want a totally dry setup, they may not fit the bill.

They are just the same as a mod with your choice of RTA (RBA) inside the casing. If you wick them right, they behave fine. I've never had a leak with any of my boro devices.

Thanks for the info bud.
To be honest it's not really about me liking or wanting to own a device like that it's just that i enjoy doing the reviews so i kinda made a list of all type of vaping apparatus and i promised myself i would check all the boxes.

If i get the chance to get one for review purposes that would be cool but others i don't see myself buying one.

cheers

    Somewhere between here and there
Did some tinkering this weekend on the Asmodus @Daniel Forsyth gave me. The button is a bit to recessed for me, so I lifted it a bit by putting in some epoxy. Uncle Google says one of the colours that matches well with lime green is grey. I picked out a medium dark grey with some pearl in it, and sprayed the button and battery cover.
Here's I before and after. What do you think?

Looks great. That recessed button is the reason I never really liked that mod.

So i just got a call from my friend that is the manager of the vape shop chain i usually order my aroma and base from.

We talked about vaping, reviews i done recently and as usual i asked what was he selling in the store at the moment.

Told me that the sale of disposables continue to be a big thing, not much for new vapers but usual vapers that need a small device for sneaking a puff at work or to keep in the glove compartment of their car in case they forgot main vaping device.

Apart from that they sold a bunch of the Berserker Mini v2 MTL RTA by Vandy Vape, lot of MTL vapers here in Spain.
Also the Drag series is always a big seller and the Target Kit by Vaporesso is also selling pretty good.

He is a nice guy,he helped me a lot when i had my problem with the QP Design atty,he also shares my distaste for sweet & pastry based aromas/e-liquids.
It seems here in Spain there is a lot of people who like those type of aromas/e-liquids thou,it accounts for like 60% of their total sales,so yeah seems Spanish got a sweet tooth.

Not much to add, today is chill day so i am sitting in my lazy boy and about to watch Rocky IV,the directors cut with an extra 40 minutes of never seen before footage, yeah baby!!

    giphy.gif

P.S: I know i know, that gif is from Rocky III...but that scene always makes me chuckle :lol:

Yesterday I was going to remove the Tank-R from my DnV Venom RDA, switch to the regular RDA top cap and move the RDA over to a squonker. Then I got a very wild and crazy idea. :w00t:

Leave the 4ml Tank-R on the RDA and simply swap pins. I swapped over to the squonk pin on the Venom RDA. Filled the Tank-R (it has top fill) with my Cream Filled Croissant and filled the dotSquonk bottle with one of my Ice Cream mixes.

    IMG_0649cr1.jpg

The Venom Tank-R has juice flow control. I am able to vape juice from the tank section then when I want to switch juices I vape the wick nearly dry, close the JFC on the Tank-R and then squonk from bottle in the dotSquonk.

Both juices are compatible but I felt vaping the wick to nearly dry before switching juices would be best. It is and it works fine. I don't get any juice from the Tank-R in the squonk bottle. My wick makes certain of that.

When I want to switch back to the Tank-R, vape the wick nearly dry, open the JFC on the Tank-R and resume vaping. :thumb:

I do not recall seeing a setup where someone was using an RDA as a tank or a squonker. Totally brilliant!!! I mean, we are vapers and what do we do? We freakin' tinker with our gear! 14mls of juice baby. :D 4ml in the Tank-R and 10ml in the squonk bottle.

    Winner, winner!!!

Way to go T!!! Your Arise looks sharp on Chunky Monkey. Looks like they were made for each other. :thumb:

And, I also noticed Bludger looks like he 100% approves! Best be careful when you go to sleep tonight Mate. Bludger is lovingly eyeing that setup. He's drooling!!! If you wake up and the juice is gone you'll know why. ;)

I had to read that a couple of times before I got what you were doing there SMT. Bloody brilliant!

And I think you might be right about Bludger. Gotta keep my eyes open. When he takes a liking to a setup, that trunk can vape it dry in seconds. I've seen him vape 10 ml of juice from a squonker in one hit.

Wow that sounds like a plan. Plz send me the link to the classifieds mate. I've never been on there.

For interest. This is the one I bought
    Search - 3FVape
Sorry, I'm a day late. Just saw @Zazie posted the link. :)

The price for that Cabeo is a bit stiff for me. I'll wait on my clone. Read all the reviews and seems it's a 1:1. Some has the original and don't see a difference...so that sounds encouraging.
Also it's advertised as a 2.0ml, but it's actually a 5.5ml...same as the original. So yeah i'm stoked, even though I haven't got it yet :p
That one is still cheaper than what you would pay for a brand new Cabeo.

If the Cabeo would have been posted before I ordered the Kumo I would have bought it. Oh well, I'll be perfectly happy with the Kumo. But... if that Cabeo is still around in a week or two... who knows. :D

When I first got a Pumper-18, the Haku Riviera RDTA in squonk mode was a perfect match. I could forget to squonk, or I could oversquonk and had the tank reservoir as a backup. But then I got an Axial......

Yeah it bothered me. It's a damn good mod. I've set it up in TC and still using it that way. Absolutely no dipping on the power. Feels like a normal power mode vape...not many mods can do that. Loving everything about it.
When it runs out of juice, the TC cuts off instantly...no slow cut backs...instantly. I love that.

looks really good! Why did you paint it?
Good question actually. Suppose mostly because I love to tinker. The green was a bit much for me, so I thought to offset it some with another colour.
It's not great, but not bad either. I like to be different.
