My wife got our daughter some for Xmas from the Vera Bradley store. They were pretty reasonable.

I will. I'm quite exited to try the real deal. I suspect it won't be any different..at least not what I will detect. Good for me to know I have good German quality wire though....I trust German technology.
I bought a spool of each...316L, Kanthal A1 and NiCrome (all 26G), and also a spool 316L Alian wire.

I know that the Fireluke 3 uses the LX1, 2, 3, and 4 coils and is compatible with the Fireluke 2. I don't think I ever tried the first Fireluke if that's what you're talking about.
