Problem solved. I re-wicked and cut the tails much shorter eg about 5mm outside the atty base, thinned the tails a little and moved the coil to the centre and set it, height wise, as it was after tightening. I did have it close to the posts!! Anyway, it worked so I'm a happy bunny.I don't thin at all mate. I use CelloCotton Rayon only. In other RTAs I sometimes thin, but not on the Kumo or the Brunhilde. The cotton must make good contact with the deck...so the juice can be soaked up.
This is how long I cut on the Kumo. It's actually a bit long...but it's wicking well.
