I don't thin at all mate. I use CelloCotton Rayon only. In other RTAs I sometimes thin, but not on the Kumo or the Brunhilde. The cotton must make good contact with the deck...so the juice can be soaked up.
This is how long I cut on the Kumo. It's actually a bit long...but it's wicking well.

Here's the height of my 2.5mm coil

Problem solved. I re-wicked and cut the tails much shorter eg about 5mm outside the atty base, thinned the tails a little and moved the coil to the centre and set it, height wise, as it was after tightening. I did have it close to the posts!! Anyway, it worked so I'm a happy bunny.

I'll do the same with the Brunhilde I think. Thanks for your help Fred :)

    Morning shinies ;)

When are you going to jump down this rabbit hole?

2021 has been the year of the boro devices, and their rbas! Only thing stopping me, is that I keep buying mods and RTAs instead

Buy when the VV AIO comes out - I think that will be a good cheap intro for me, into the Boro Box Abyss

I did a test and thinned (to a pointy tip) the rayon out on the Kumo....and it still wicks well. I think i'll start doing that every time now....less obstruction for the air to flow.
I want your opinion plz mate. Is it just me, or do you also find this Kumo gives a more saturated vape....thinker clouds?

One thing to watch out for on this Kumo though....and it's happened a few times now.
When I remove the cap...to refill or for whatever reason, and replace it, the mod shows a "shorted" reading.
    IMG_20211202_114926.jpg

At first I couldn't figure it out. Today I intensely concentrated on the back of the deck where I clipped off the coil leads. To the eye (actually to my 4× glasses) it looks like it's flush, but there was a hairs breath sticking out. I literally couldn't feel it when I slide my finger over it. I took the micro screwdriver and bent the wire to the inside. That fixed the problem.
Conclusion...there's literally NO space between the cap (when it's on) and the back of the deck.

I stuck a 3mm id ni80 30*2/40 coil into the Lethal RTA this morning:

I had no idea of how many wraps until I could see them in a photo  Anyway, I moved it a bit more to the right after seeing the pic.

Next step, try the teeny tiny minsicule honeycomb insert. And then no insert

This is what a real coil (not mine!!!) looks like in it with the honeycomb:

This wicking method definitely have me a less restricted airflow and I haven't had any dry hit problems even withe chainvaping at higher wattage. I usually keep my 0.5 coils at around 16 watts but I deliberately chained vaped at 25 for a while as a test with still no problems.
As for the vape quality it defo gives a lovely saturated vape even as described above. I think it has the edge on the Brunhilde too. It will be interesting to have @Daniel Forsyth 's appraisal.

I watched a video from Mike vapes and he inserted the coil close to the posts, clipped the leads and then loosened it again and pulled the coil forwards so that there were no leads poking through at the back of the deck....try that.

    Cabeo has arrived. I through a 0.6ohm coil init...Ni 80 ofcourse :p
Boy oh Boy, this is one fantastic RTA. Smooth as silk, and flavor even better than the Kumo. In fact, this is a Kumo on steroids. Just bought another one

Looks like I may have to get one....after all the Kumo is the Cabeo's little brother!! How's the draw. Does it compare well to the Kumo wide open?

I shall have a tried and true comparison between the Kumo and Brunhilde soon Mate:thumb:
My postman was a bit lazy yesterday and couldn't come to the dooro_O so I'll have to wait another few more days for the Kumo, I'm in no hurry to build at the moment anyway Charlie so that works out fine with me:)

I bought the clone from 3F...
    Search - 3FVape
...but you're a man of stature...you might want to get the original :p
On the reviews I read of two persons said they have the original, and there's no difference to the clone...for what it's worth :D

The DL insert (on full open) is a bit to open for me....but it's adjustable by turning the cap. Fully open it has more air then the Kumo.
I drilled the MTL air insert out and has the perfect airflow now.
I don't like choking the air by closing down airflow.

I just went to get one then noticed it was only 2ml capacity....bit of a deal breaker for me.
I'm going to search for an extension tank.

Erm....no extension tank so I bought one anyway :D

I'll try the clone and probably get the original if it's as good as advertised. I checked the Steampipes website and they also have The Corona which is built for DL and 9ml cap. I couldn't see if it was the same technology as the Cabeo so it's a no for now....

Hand cast off, fresh morning eyes. Two-handed and I built the Blotto, I love it. It is a tight great vape. I am not a good reviewer. I have some Sesame Fortune Cookie in it that I made from a Julia Su one shot. Exquisite.
.32 coil rocking at 58 watts and THAT, my young friends at the local B&M is why rebuildables will never be yesterday's news. Not to tried and true vapors anyway.

I really like the Blotto also. I tried the Sesame Cookie one shot you mentioned when I first got it but didn't really care for it. I should get it back out and try again. I bought the five pack of her one shots. I really like the Meuller and Schmidt.
