Same. That fence was a chunk of change. And my push mower died so I bought another- coming this week. And then there was house insurance, property taxes, and I owed the feds on income tax. I’m not feeling inflation but my daughter is, so I’m trying to help her too.

I think there's something in the air right now. My wife's best friend's son passed away a few weeks ago and my wife wanted to go support her so she bought a plane ticket for the next day which was expensive. Then while my wife was gone, the refrigerator shot craps so we had to buy a new one. It was 11 years old and not worth fixing again. Then last week I had a leak in my garage ceiling. Luckily I was able to find and fix that myself. It's been an expensive few weeks. I haven't purchased any vaping stuff lately besides a few flavors and some squonk bottles I needed.

are your geek goggles the magnifying glasses? I have a pair with an led light on it and several levels of magnification. And their are the definition of geeky lol! But they work great for this middle aged lady’s coil building!

I will admit that I do take them off if my roommate comes in the room lol!:headbang:

well, I feel almost lucky. The bill for $375,000 that I got months ago stating I owed the IRS, came back from the accounting office. I provided lots and lots of documentation and it was amended and turns out I only owed $5,700 and $300 in penalties. On top of that the $1,100 to the accounting office that got it all straightened away for me, comes to a little over 7k for what the government decided I should pay in capital gains for selling the house in California. Luckily I was able to prove that I had over $650K invested in it, between what I inherited and what I had to pay the trust to make it my home. Needless to say, I was happy I only owed $1,400 ish for federal taxes this year. AND I will not be buying any shiny crap and just happily vape what I have.

It seems May has been a tough months for many of us. My Dad (90) has tripped twice and gotten scraped up enough we're going to the doctor tomorrow morning. My wife's car had a broken spring while I had two bad wheel bearings. At least the weather is getting better!

We went from a week of rain with high 50’s to 90+ this week. So much for spring.

The cheapest vape item I’ve ever ordered has been in Los Angeles for what feels like forever! My god it’s just a bf pin! Well two bf pins. Customs shouldn’t be an issue so what’s taking so long!?!

I already contacted the seller and they thanked me for being patient a few more days.

That heat is headed my way in Boston at the end of the week. Expected highs in the 80s. Not looking forward to it because I don’t have central ac just window air conditioners. I hate blocking the only window that’s in my room. It’s just makes it darker and no fresh air coming in.
Plus my dog Haley has PTSD from being a puppy mill rescue. Every time the compressor kicks in she gets terrified. It makes for a very long night.

I need to get central air at some point. I absolutely HATE hot and humid weather. I melt lol!

That must’ve been a major stressor! Glad it’s all cleared up for you now. I would’ve had a heart attack when I opened the initial bill!

Have you looked at one of those ventless air conditioners? I saw one on the side of a house and was curious how well they work.

oh thank you for reminding me that I was going to get an estimate for one of those units. They work really well too from experience staying at my ex in-laws in Nicaragua and their home. They had one in each bedroom. The rest of the house was centered around an open courtyard which didn’t have any ac.

No way! Rib fractures hurt like a *itch! Not much can be done hopefully your pain levels ok.
Yeah, quite painful. Heat pad and advil helps. I don't want to use any leave because I've got about 5 months left and I can roll my leave into retirement.:)
