What are your thoughts on the Yihi board in it? I heard reports before of battery drain on some Yihi boards when sitting.

Solid performer from YiHi, but will suffer from parasitic battery drain. Caution must be taken to remove battery if the device isn't going to be used for awhile. At the price offered, I wouldn't let the known issue deter my interest however.... ;)

@hittman, I have a fairly old stabwood mod by JM mods (Poland) that has a YiHi SX350J v2 chip. It works great. I have not witnessed any battery drain with mine.

Coming from DNA devices it did take me a minute to familiarize myself with the YiHi menus and setup. After a bit, it was a breeze.

FWIW, I also have a few old iPV D3S 80w mods. Those have YiHi SX150H chips. I've never had any issues with battery drain in those.

VA uses many YiHi and DNA chips in their mods. There is a very loyal following in the private Vicious Ant FB group. I've been in that group for some time and do not recall seeing a single post about battery drain. I am fairly certain @Daniel Forsyth is also in the group.

If I wasn't more into mech squonkers I would have scooped that Vanguard up in a fraction of nano second. I mean, $130 is a big time steal for a Vicious Ant stabwood mod. Especially for one that is still listed at $700 (per my previous post).

ETA: The VA Vanguard has a SX475J chip.

I have the original SXmini, and M Class, as well as the SL Class.... ALL will slowly run the battery down until dead unless removed. It can take a couple of weeks until totally drained, but does happen with mine...

EDIT: Come to think of it, I also have an MX, and T Class too. Brand-new, and tucked away in their boxes somewhere.... I may dig them out to test, but from what I gather, YiHi just got around to addressing this issue with their recent re-vamp of the SL Class (V2), so I figure the issue will rear it's ugly head with them as well.....

I'm probably going to pass on it. I'm just not sure either about the angled fire button. If it was blue instead of red then I'd probably ignore the fire button and grab it.

    Morning shinies ;)

I've got another cart going at FT - but all I really need are screws, because I have one loose.
FT told me that my Mobb has been sent back by their border control. Asked me if I want to cancel, or try again.
Send again I said...hopefully it arrives on the sorting table just before lunch, and the empty belly let it slip through

Did you make mention of the Vaporesso Gen 200 any time soon. I can't find it if you did. I seem to remember you doing so
I did a combo review with the Gen 200 back in April. That was my last Vaporesso review until the Luxe X that I just did. I think the Target 100 was recently discussed. Here's a link if you want to take a look.

My Mobb is still sitting in the unshipped orders pile. They can have a race to get to NZ

The seller of the VA Vanguard got a quote to ship to OZ via UPS and apparently the price was $150usd just for shipping:w00t: I thought that was a bit crap!!!
So now I have the itch to buy something:thumb:

The seller picked an expensive option. USPS 1st class international is much cheaper. Just under $60 for a 3lb package. (Australia rates are column 6.) I'm not sure how much that particular package would weigh, but I doubt it could total up to 3 lbs.

Here's the rate table. Australia is column 5. Unless you are getting a 25lb mod, it isn't $150. I wonder if the seller thought that was ounces, not pounds.

Thank you so very much for that :)
I'll message the seller back and see what comes from it!
