That does seem extreme. About how many ml of liquid are you running through each coil before you have to change it? A lot of commercial liquids have large amounts of sweetener in them and that can gunk up a coil pretty quickly sometimes. Also, which resistance of coil are you using and are you using it in the recommended wattage range? 70/30 should be ok with the TPP coils. For every day use, I'd probably take a look at a mod with a 510 connection so you can run any tank on it and not be stuck with the included pod.

Hello everyone,
I have the VooPoo DragS Pro!
Was previously using the SmokStick80w, which I nicked off my mum, and got me into vaping!
Used that for 3 or so months, managed to cut right down smoking cigs and only had to change the coil 3 times!
However, I’ve had the VooPoo for about 2 months, and I’m literally having to change the coil every 2-3 days?! Either tasting burnt, or flavour disappears?! I must be doing something wrong surley?!

I prime the coils, always wait 10 mins before first pull.
Also the liquid keeps going brown?! I used seriously soda 70/30 atm?!
Sooo confused and can’t keep spending so much on coils, considering going buying another Smok
The VooPoo is soo good when it’s a fresh coil, but after a few hours it’s jsut crap

Someone please help lol! X

The pod on that one holds 5.5ml so you’re probably going through 15-20ml a day which doesn’t seem like enough to kill a coil.

Let me think on the rechargeable kit. If you weren’t adverse to using replaceable batteries then I’d say the Vaporesso Target 100 is a great inexpensive kit and the coils that come with it last me a long time. I’m not sure right now what would be the best for a mod kit with a built in battery.

What wattage are you vaping at and which coil are you using? It is permissible to use a coil at a wattage lower than recommended, but using a coil higher than recommended leads to coil burnout, just like constantly running a car engine at maximum ram's for an extended period can lead to engine failure. Here are the recommended ranges for the TPP coil:

0.15ohm TPP-DM1 Coils - rated for 60-80W
0.2ohm TPP-DM2 Coils - rated for 40-60W
0.15ohm TPP-DM3 Coils - rated for 80-100W
0.3ohm TPP-DM4 Coils - rated for 32-40W

You might find that switching coil type can improve your coil longevity.

I vape at 50-60 watts and only about 1/2 the airflow open. Not sure about the device you are using though, I have the Drag S that I use sometimes but I can keep the wattage set in one place. It sounds like your wattage jumps around a bit. Hittman is probably your best source for help as he seems to be familiar with the device

Many devices allow you to lock the wattage, but apparently the Voopoo Drag S isn't one of them. If you do try to switch models, consider innokin sceptre.

I set up the Geekvape Zeus X rta that I was sent in place of the X rba without the bf pin that GV gave me the run around on. I don't like it. It's noisy and to get a decent vape, I had to close the af halfway. I usually prefer the af wide open to get more clouds. The flavor isn't as good as the Dead Rabbit.

The DM1 coil is rated for 60-80 watts so I think running at 50 should be fine. I tend to run stock coils a little lower myself. I did a combo review on the Drag X and S pro kits here. Have you gone through multiple boxes of coils already? Every once in a while I hear about bad batches of coils from different manufacturers. Could you have gotten a bad batch?
