Hiya folks.

Quick pop to say hi and ask for some help.

Today my friend from the local vape shop along with 2 of the usuals chipped in and got me this:

pinkness.jpg

Problem is that while putting in the squonk pin i sneezed and hard (allergy season here) so the whole thing got disassembled.
2 metal ends where the coil goes and the insulator thingy, anyone know the correct order to put it back together?
Nothing in the instruction book and no Youtube videos that completely take it apart,i mean i tried putting it together by just looking at the screenshot of the deck but not 100% sure.

Well anyway apart from that not much more, started my pre colonoscopy diet today...yeah i am not one happy camper.
On Monday i am getting that and an endoscopy while i am there so i am kinda nervous but you know whatever, can't stress myself about it.

I am super confident I will find a good deal. It just takes patience and the right price.

As to an RBA, the Atmizoo SteamShell will work fine for me. I own a couple Tripod RTA's, two Creek rda's and the Aer RTA - so I am very confident the SteamShell will serve me well.

I honestly have zero interest in collecting AIO/Boro RBA's like many folks have. One RBA will work fine for me. And you can put that in writing.

And, look at me, talking about owning one!!! Well I guess that alone is progress. But, then again, I might decide to pass altogether. TBD.
I am still leaning more towards a mech AIO/Boro device. Any mech mod, if properly taken care of will last forever. Eventually the electronics will fail on all regulated mods (nature of the beast).

The B22 has been more of a sideshow, if you will, in that if I can get it for my kind of price, then it's just a no-brainer. It has a DNA60. I have a few replacement DNA60's and screens in my stash.

I've been looking into a couple mech AIO/Boro mods for about 6-8 months.

Stanislau Parovar of the Parovar Workshop (Russia) makes a very nice mech AIO/Boro mod that I like a lot.

View attachment 995602

Danila Nikolaev of RMG Mods (Russia) also makes a very nice mech AIO/Boro mod that I like.

View attachment 995601

Everyone who owns either mod loves them.
While making lists, boro & billet aio never took off with me.
My only mod is not perfect but it is compact and small.
It hasn't completely taken off with rba either, I have three, but I could live with just VapeSnail.
Had SteamShell been around that day I would have started with it, it looks nice, and Atmizoo has always been good with AF.
My next RBA will be with one small chamber, and it will have side juice channels, but not monarchy style.
After that, it's doubtful I'll buy any more, I'm more of a SBS & rta guy.

Mech AIO, only one negative thing I see, unused space under the tank.

No, it was a single coil that had great flavor but had issues with seeping at the base
The atty I was thinking about was the Augvape Merlin Mini. Found mine in stash.
A nice looking, well machined little 24mm rta with two deck options - single and dual coil.
Just like the Merlin you mentioned, it had great flavour but was a leaky sob.
I feel like the Chinese designers didn't get their RTAs quite right until a couple of years after that.

@Javichu, can you post some pictures of the components of the deck please including insulators of course.

We may be able to work out the reassembly blind and with some educated guessing involved. As you're 100% right, no-one has done a full teardown and rebuild which makes things more awkward than it needs be.

You mean the chimney cap, right?

View attachment 995598

I've read that with some of the clones the cap stays on the tank section when removing it. It did on @charlie1465's Dvarw clone.

I have 4 authentic Dvarw's (2 MTL/2 DL) the caps stay on the chimney when I remove the tank section. If you can find a Coppervape Dvarw clone, the cap stays on the chimney (I have a few of those too).

You could replace the lower o-ring on your cap with one of the spares. A replacement may, or may not, help. Then see if it stays on the chimney when you unscrew the tank section. If it still comes off then replace the top o-ring. And if that does not resolve the issue, then it is a clone thing.

If you really enjoy the quality of vape your Dvarw maybe have a look at KHW Mods. Peter Sarkozi has been really good with manufacturing the Dvarw 22mm and 24mm MTL FL's (DL FL's too) and keeping them in-stock.

Link for the 24mm Dvarw MTL FL:

KHW sells many airflow inserts for the MTL FL's. Sizes are as follows:
View attachment 995599
Dvarw MTL's ship with the 1.2mm AF insert installed. So, you will need to purchase the 1mm insert.

I purchased my authentic Dvarw's directly from KHW. They ship fast from Hungary. Every order came within 3 days via DHL. Peter is very quick to respond to his customers either via the website or the Dvarw Facebook group.
It was the chimney cap that was getting stuck and bringing the chamber with it. I had to reposition the tails every time to make sure the chamber doesn't flood. It didn't do this my last fill and might get better. It's good to know the genuine don't have this issue :)

I'm going to re-wick this one soon because I want to test it with a vertical 50% rayon cut, which is the minimum I usually like to cut the ends. I'm going to be using the thread-and-cut method to install the chimney

This is my first foray into testing with clones. If I dial it in and like it, I will be purchasing from KHW. Same with the GTR clone; if I end up really liking it, I'm going to get the Taifun GTR. In the past, I would get the genuine and sell if I don't like. The depriciation is similar enough to the clone cost, so might as well get a backup or gift out of testing even if I might never use it after testing.

I'm at work now so don't have one with me but can look at one when I get home and disassemble it if necessary. I have about four hours of work left though.

Well here are all 3 of the parts:

    puzzle.jpg

There are in the order which i think they go from A to C,also they oriented in the same way they fit the deck.
Piece A goes in the far left side with the hole for the coil looking away from me,then the insulator on top and the piece C inside the insulator.

It was like playing Tetris but this was the only way i could make it look like the pics of the deck that i saw online.

I wish I could help, but I had to say. it's nice of them to pick that nice color for you. :)

Yeah tell me about it,they know i love black but they got me a new ''limited'' color called Pinkness
It's like they thought hey lets do something nice for Javi but lets screw with him a little bit at the same time lol.

There are not many parts to an RDA. I found the photo's below on the web. They are from a DR Solo RDA.

    DeadRabbitSoloBuildDeck-300x297.jpg

    DeadRabbitSoloDeck-300x283.jpg

There is a square insulator that sits under the positive pin on the build deck. That should only fit on the deck one way.

    f33b5bd4-fc1f-49d7-840e-32a866f8e9e3.jpg

You have the 510 pin (squonk or blind) and its round insulator. First insert the insulator into the bottom of the deck followed by the 510 pin. You can see where the insulator goes in the deck first followed by your 510 pin of choice.

Looking at the above photos it shouldn't be very difficult to put it back together.

If you put yours back together and it looks like the above pics, you done well.

B goes on top of A.

C fits into the insulator (B).

    Done!!!

Here's the order @Javichu for you, at least from my understanding.

    1st: A

    2nd: B

    3rd: C

B & C go together and then they should slot into A, then just install in the cutout on the base and install squonk pin/screw.

Cheers, yeah i think i was right the first time.
Just finished it and it looks at least to me exactly like the pics of the deck:

    finito.jpg

Time to coil it up,wick it and give it a try.

thanks folks for all the help, much appreciated :)

Mech AIO, only one negative thing I see, unused space under the tank.

Why do you see that as a negative?

Every mech AIO I've seen has a ledge for the tank to sit on (like regulated AIO's). Each has some open space under that ledge. The only parts inside a mech AIO is the contact for the battery, the switch and an adjustment for the tank. That makes tear-down for maintenance/cleaning and reassembly very easy.

There's a gentleman over on VU who owns many mech AIO's. I've chatted with him and he's had zero problems/issues with his mech AIO's. No leaks. With a proper build, decent tank section and good o-rings there should not be any leaks.

    LOLz. What's wrong with pink?

This Pico 75 was my wife's favorite mod. It is a very bright and in your face pink.

    PinkPicoCR1.jpg

Since she passed away I use it and take it out and about. As a guy, I don't have any issues with pink, never have. To me, it's just one of many colors.

But, I do know some guys who are very weird when it comes to anything pink. They relate pink to the feminine or to the gay. IMO those are guys with issues that stretch far beyond a color.

    Just my :2c:

So got the coil in,stabilized nicely, wicked and ready to go.

And....dang this little thing does deliver, not an RDA connoisseur so it's hard to compare it with the Nitrous RDA.
Also i am just using the included coil in the box,got a real good artisanal coil on my Nitrous so yeah that is also a factor.

Next time i place an order for coils will get a pack of 2 and then i can do a proper vs and see how they fare out.
Dead Rabbit had a 3mm in the box but i am using a 2.5mm in the Nitrous, both at 0.40 ohms, using now the Dead Rabbit at 30 watts,1/3rd airflow closed and it delivers.

Thanks again for the help folks :)

Hmmm, since im new to RDA's i gotta ask both RDAs (Nitrous and Dead Rabbit) are made of Stainless Steel.

They both basically have the same ohms and i am using basically the same wattage, only difference is the size of the coil.
The Nitrous is a 2.5mm,Dead Rabbit a 3mm...and i am noticing the Dead Rabbit gets a lot hotter than the Nitrous.

Is that because the size of the coil,or perhaps just the design of the RDA?
