I'm currently sitting in my car waiting for the vape store to open (lazy buggers don't open til 11am). Picking up a Qbix, a P26A and a Kumo. Thanks @AngeNZ for helping me decide on the Kumo.
Hopefully I stay disciplined and don't leave with more...they do have some really classy boro gear there.
You are lucky, I don't think they even know what a boro tank is at my local shop. I do need to go and give them my new phone# , they text you around your birthday for a $.49 60ml of house juice. Some aren't bad.

I gave up on vape shops in my area when I started looking around in 2012. No one knew anything about any equipment worth mentioning, nor did they stock anything of interest. I tried going to a few a couple of years back but, to my dismay, the shelves were full of Smok products.

When I was curious about flavors (after trying a disposable), I went to another local shop and they recommended another Smok because "we found it has the best flavor". It was not a good experience compared to any of my setups, including my Aspire Nautilus GT and GT Mini.

Got a couple of known retailers an hour and a half away, but I'm not spending $30 in gas and 4 hours for the retail experience. No thanks :)

Aw heck, what's a couple more items!!!

25 more minutes until they open.
I nearly folded...

First thought is why did I wait so long to buy a Kumo? The af suits me and the flavour is dense.

They stock the mid-end stuff I prefer like Aspire, SXK boro devices and Dotmod products. Not always the cheapest prices but when you factor in exchange rates and shipping, it comes out ok. Plus I like to give them business to keep them going.

BP Mods Pioneer Insider Initial Scoring:

First named boro RTA/bridge I've tried. Love this thing. It's a great pairing to my Cthulhu AIO. Flavor is on point. The MTL draw is really nice at 1mm (though not close to the Kayfun X :)). Overall, I'd say it definitely vapes better than the Taiful GTR clone I'm still testing. I'm okay with the filling, but I don't like that I have to vape a certain amount to rewick comfortably. I'm not a fan of boro rewicking in general, so that part gets negatives. As a conservative grader, I give it a solid 4/5 until I try out some more. It's very, very nice.

DVARW 24 FL Clone First Impressions:

Flavor is starting to shine after about 15mls (cut only about 35% total and using Graham's Cellucotton) of break-in, which isn't that bad. Wicking was quite easy and forgiving. Refilling I don't like with my current wick; I didn't use the thread-and-cut method so the cap stays on the tank when I unscrew sometimes. Not happy that it doesn't fit flush on my Dani 25. I'm not a fan of botom fill on my SBS mods, either.

I chose the wrong airflow insert: the 3x 0.6mm. Too much airflow for some reason, though it should be close to a single 1mm hole, which is what I'm used to. Might be a clone issue. No leaking.

Other Thoughts:

I'm still leaning toward thinking a JFC is useful, but only because I prefer low watts and I have specific rayon preferences. If I wanted more vapor and went with cotton, might be okay with no JFC. I realize now that I'm part of what is now a very niche market :) I was never a cloud or flavor chaser. I chase stealth, longetivity, MTL qualities, and adjustability...

I am getting closer to purchasing a AIO/Boro Mate!!!

The gentleman selling his B22 still hasn't sold it (I check daily ). This is his second or third time listing it. I'm kind of surprised it has not sold already because it's in mint condition. Also, the B22 has excellent reviews. People in the Ennequadro FB group are always raving about theirs.

I am very patient, when the stars properly align, and the price is right, I'm in 100%.
If he still has his B22 next month, I will likely make an offer.
But, if I don't get the B22 then I will go back to Plan A, a mech AIO/Boro.
I hope you get a good deal mate.
That said, when you're done, we, the rest of us, i.e. everyone you see in this thread, we'll of course give you an rba tip, or ten.
As good comrades should do when one of ours has taken a step into the unknown.

Totally agree!!! Never owned a Smok product, never will. Their reputation and history for making junk products is very well known.

Aspire products are among the best made.

The newer Aspire Prestige collaborates with some of the industry's best modders to engineer the premium products. They offer more high-end products like the Mixx SBS (SunBox), Kumo (Steampipes) versus Aspire's regular offerings.

I have an old Aspire Pegasus mod and a couple old NX75-A's. The NX75-A, like the Mixx SBS, were CNC'ed from single blocks of aluminum. Those three mods are built like WWII battleships.

Still have several Aspire ET-S BDC and BVC (EGO) tanks and many boxes of coils for those. Those are part of my emergency stash.
Aspire is quality, maybe a bit of a shame that they haven't continued to develop the prestige line.
They had several such as Paradox and Mixx in which they could mount the DNA 60.
Mechanically, the Aspire is +++

Back in the day I bought a bunch of Ammit rdas for flavor testing. I think I ended up with like six of them. I am pretty sure that somewhere I have the MTL rta that was mentioned earlier. One of my go to rtas is the original Zeus rta. I think I counted 15 when I did inventory. I almost always have at least one in rotation.
I love the OG Zeus too. It was life-changing for me at the time. 2016 I think?

I wonder how many attys in total in your collection.
That's 15 of one tank from one brand.
Must be in the hundreds at least.

Who was it that mentioned future archaeologists and what they'd think when they dug up a vape collection in a thousand years?

I'm sure you're right. Even before I started doing reviews I tried different tanks. In one of my boxes I have 6-8 of the Uwell original crown tank and several of the Augvape Merlin tanks. I have the top carrier of a little toolbox full of tanks and many others in different places. I took a picture of the toolbox one time. I'll see if I can find the picture.

Was that the one that came with two decks? I have a Merlin rta that I think had a velocity deck and a single coil option.
No, it was a single coil that had great flavor but had issues with seeping at the base.

I found the picture I mentioned. This is a small amount of the tanks I have accumulated over the years. I have three smaller cases with ones I use from time to time plus many in storage.

They'd probably think that the owner was a door to door salesperson. Kind of like Avon, but for vaping.

Check out "Alientologists" on DUST YouTube channel for a laugh and ideas on how it may be.

You mean the chimney cap, right?

    dlcap.jpg

I've read that with some of the clones the cap stays on the tank section when removing it. It did on @charlie1465's Dvarw clone.

I have 4 authentic Dvarw's (2 MTL/2 DL) the caps stay on the chimney when I remove the tank section. If you can find a Coppervape Dvarw clone, the cap stays on the chimney (I have a few of those too).

You could replace the lower o-ring on your cap with one of the spares. A replacement may, or may not, help. Then see if it stays on the chimney when you unscrew the tank section. If it still comes off then replace the top o-ring. And if that does not resolve the issue, then it is a clone thing.

If you really enjoy the quality of vape your Dvarw maybe have a look at KHW Mods. Peter Sarkozi has been really good with manufacturing the Dvarw 22mm and 24mm MTL FL's (DL FL's too) and keeping them in-stock.

Link for the 24mm Dvarw MTL FL:

KHW sells many airflow inserts for the MTL FL's. Sizes are as follows:
    Screen shot 2023-05-17 at 10.46.45 AM.png

Dvarw MTL's ship with the 1.2mm AF insert installed. So, you will need to purchase the 1mm insert.

I purchased my authentic Dvarw's directly from KHW. They ship fast from Hungary. Every order came within 3 days via DHL. Peter is very quick to respond to his customers either via the website or the Dvarw Facebook group.

I am super confident I will find a good deal. It just takes patience and the right price.

As to an RBA, the Atmizoo SteamShell will work fine for me. I own a couple Tripod RTA's, two Creek RDA's and the Aer RTA - so I am very confident the SteamShell will serve me well.

I honestly have zero interest in collecting AIO/Boro RBA's like many folks have. One RBA will work fine for me. And you can put that in writing.

And, look at me, talking about owning one!!! Well I guess that alone is progress. But, then again, I might decide to pass altogether. TBD.

I am still leaning more towards a mech AIO/Boro device. Any mech mod, if properly taken care of will last forever. Eventually the electronics will fail on all regulated mods (nature of the beast).

The B22 has been more of a sideshow, if you will, in that if I can get it for my kind of price, then it's just a no-brainer. It has a DNA60. I have a few replacement DNA60's and screens in my stash.

I've been looking into a couple mech AIO/Boro mods for about 6-8 months.

Stanislau Parovar of the Parovar Workshop (Russia) makes a very nice mech AIO/Boro mod that I like a lot.

    IMG_2455.JPG

Danila Nikolaev of RMG Mods (Russia) also makes a very nice mech AIO/Boro mod that I like.

    IMG_2457.JPG

Everyone who owns either mod loves them.

    Good morning ladies and gentlemen,

it's our national day, I've been working instead of watching stupid parades, my spruce logs are now collected. Long live a good tractor.

My package from Germany is stuck in customs here, it's a public holiday so nothing happens until Friday.
