@Tor R, I just had a long conversation with my computer technician.

He told me the opposite of the information I posted recently - I was wrong.
For storing important data, platter drives (HDDs) are more reliable than SSDs, not less.

So you made the right choice buying HDDs for data storage.
Next time I post info like that I'll do some more serious fact checking.

I've been pricing up some ram to double up what Mum has in her older laptop. It wasn't until I saw you guys talking HDDs and SSDs that I double checked her laptop. I had presumed it already was using an SSD drive, but no it had an old HDD in it. So thank you!

I've now got ram (non baaaaing), and an SSD incoming to play swapsies with.

    Morning shinies ;)

I've loved the look of the SM's Odd Job rba since it came out. After seeing Todd's review, I ordered one.

Looking forward to your thoughts Ange. I like how much room there is to snip the legs without worrying about shorting. Big open deck too.

    Good morning folks,
I have been training, today's result:

I have had a glued attachment for the dna 60/usb port, with a bit of luck I find a drill bit 1.5mm so that I can get the thread up to m1.6.

    Good morning ladies and gentlemen,
we have a snow storm, had some plans today but I'll stay at home. I'm too old to drive a car with summer tyres.
If I can find the micro drills, I can at least get one step further in my Mixx DNA 60 project.

    Somewhere between here and there
I’m going to leave in the morning to spend a couple days with my oldest daughter that lives a few hours away. I’m looking forward to getting away. It’s been a rough week at work.
