A juvenile Rainbow Lorakeet just showed up on our front porch. Fledgling that jumped maybe a day too soon and in rainy weather. We'll keep him calm and safe tonight and see how he goes tomorrow. Might have to call WIRES.
I’ve kinda lost interest in boro too. I had seen the Zaion a while back but haven’t heard anything about it. Also the Raga from aspire looks nice but I’ll not be ordering one.
I don't want to say that I won't buy anything in the future, and the interest may well pick up when I build my first AIO, but I'm very much an SBS guy.LOLz......... I lost track of how many times I was interested and then not interested.![]()
I am now firmly embedded in the 'not interested' in AIO/Boro camp.![]()
That's a cool looking bird Pigs. I bet he could take a chunk of finger (or windowsill) lolUpdate on Ralph the Rainbow Lorakeet::
His parents came down to see him this morning and I tried to get him to fly off with them . He wanted to, but the flight feathers in his left wing aren't fully formed so he never got airborne.
I phoned WIRES and they gave us the name of a local vet registered to deal with injured native wildlife. We dropped him off there safe and sound an hour ago.
I always thought that Rainbow Lorakeets fed on a diet of nectar, but now I know their favourite food is the human finger. Ouch.
haha - true. They are amazing little dynamos. Common parrots around Sydney and tough as nails. They screech and sqwark and fight for their nest holes amongst stiff competition from other species. Very intelligent and aware of their surroundings (like most birds). I love the little buggers. Bright and brash, they never fly slower than full throttle. That's a cool looking bird Pigs. Looking forward to your thoughts about the Kumo Tor. Compatibility with elements of, and also a direct comparison to the Cabeo. I don't own an authentic or clone of the Cabeo but I know you and others here rate it highly. One of the things I bought from CdV was the Kumo, they only had satin but the price was £15.70.
So while it's on the way I bought the Signature Tips atty&mod polishing rig from UK.
A couple of reasons why I finally bought a Kumo, first of all the Cabeo wicking is awesome and the Kumo has always been a great looking tank, but I'm most looking forward to comparing the AFC against the Corona.
Since I am now getting the Kumo, I will see if it is possible to use the Cabeo tank part on it.
Next week will be hectic as it will now be five packages in the air.
Most of what I've bought has been on Black Friday deals.
Maybe I'll take a trip to Italy and see if there are any good deals there, but with a burning Visa card, it might be best to go to bed.
Kumo is one I've wanted for a very long time, but it was always expensive based on what I was going to test & use it for, so when CdV had a super price, and there were other things they had 14% on that were on my list, so now it comes.Looking forward to your thoughts about the Kumo Tor. Mine are supposed to be here tomorrow also.Good morning Shiney's
