Our winter weather is less good with us, electricity is on and off, we have been a bit lucky though (I live a bit protected at the bottom of the mountains around me), wind speed 25m/s and there will be another half meter of snow tomorrow . -8˚C and that wind, brrrr.
Schools and kindergartens are closed in half of Agder county.

One of my favourite things about this thread is how different our lives are. Humid here tonight - cicadas singing and plenty of mozzies buzzing around outside. When your days are long, my heater will be on.

Congratulations Daniel, that's a great atty.

Do those Pico screens require soldering? I have several Picos with dying screens and one that's completely blank now.

No, there is one clip that holds the screen connector in place, there are two small black plastic pieces on either side, use a small flat screwdriver to pry the clip out in the same direction as the connector itself (direction to the fire button). Be careful not to lose the clip. I myself tend to leave one side a bit in the groove.
The screen itself is attached to the screen frame with double-sided tape, hold the frame and use a screwdriver to massage the old screen loose.
Insert the new screen into the connection first, fit the clip as it was, then place the screen into the frame.
For me, they stuck more than enough to the old double-sided tape.

You can also remove the frame if you feel it's easier, it's also in double-sided tape, be careful not to damage the two taps that go to the chipset.

Think I'll go ahead and order 10 of them, they are so cheap. Like you I have a lot of Picos.

The Pico 75 TC is very easy to work on, it requires no soldering to disassemble.
When you remove the bottom plate, there are two screws that hold a white plastic cover there. When you unscrew them, it is best to let the base plate rest on a bench, so you avoid the springs falling out and you putting up/down the wrong way.
Place the white plastic cover on a high edge when you remove the top cover to get out the chipset and screen. It's a bit of fiddling, but I use the white cover a bit to disassemble everything.
eleaf's Pico 75 is actually pretty good to work on, one of the better Chinese mods I've opened.
eleaf Pico 21700 and Pico X are garbage

Very interesting, I didn't know the Pico 75 TC was a distinct model internally vs the original Pico 75 (figured it was just different aesthetically).

You mean garbage quality or difficult to work on? I wonder if you have any thoughts about the Pico Mega (the one that can take a 26650), or perhaps you haven't tinkered with one yet?

Edit: Good morning @Daniel Forsyth I hope you have a great day!

To my knowledge, there isn't a Pico 75 TC and a Pico 75. The OG Pico 75 had USB Micro-B, the newer Pico 75 and Pico Plus 75 have USB-C. All of those are TC compatible out of the box.

On the OG Pico 75 we can replace the LED screen and the logic board. Back when FastTech was still around I bought several replacement logic boards/screens for my Pico's.

With the OG Pico 75, and its USB Micro-B connector, we can also update the firmware to Arctic Fox, 3rd party firmware, which offers something near that of a DNA chipset with TC along with the ability to change settings via software on a computer. The logic boards sold by FastTech do not support AF.

The newer Pico 75's (USB-C) are not firmware upgradeable. Eleaf disabled firmware upgrades on those.

Yeah, I'm not sure either way. I see some sellers (example) referring to a variant as a Pico TC, usually with more flashy colors or made in collaboration with Jaybo Designs, but I don't see that variant listed by Eleaf.

I didn't know there was a newer Pico 75 with usb-c beyond the Plus; I thought the Pico 75 was entirely discontinued and replaced by the Pico Plus.

More Picos is a good thing, but it does get confusing, and it's a shame they locked down the firmware.

Yeah, that's how the Pico's were marketed - "Eleaf iStick Pico 75W TC" - when they were originally released. It's the same thing as a Pico 75 (Micro-B USB).

Those, pictured on Element's web page, are the OG's with Micro-B USB connectors.

The OG was replaced by the two models with USB-C that I mentioned previously.

The original Pico 75's were discontinued. But, if one looks long and hard, they can still be found. @Tor R was able to find some.

More Picos is a good thing, but it does get confusing, and it's a shame they locked down the firmware.

I have 12 OG Pico 75's. And, I'm still using the first one I purchased in late 2015 or early 2016. The screen is still nice and bright. I updated it to the AF firmware. It keeps on, keeping on!

They are excellent mods. Very tough little buggers too. And yes, it totally sucks that they locked down the newer ones.

I don't remember if anyone connected with the Arctic Fox group found a workaround. I recall having a conversation with @ShamrockPat about AF and upgrading non-supported mods (IIRC), but I don't remember if that was about the Pico 75's.

There was no workaround for Pico's with USB-C connectors. Towards the end there was a 'branch' for some LV mods using a specific chip (MCU they called IIRC) but it was not clean and easy. Either you had to solder a point, or make a specific cable, etc.
Shortly before this, Evolv created a 'session mode' for all their color mods and even the DNA60 (circa 2016) for those who partake in non Federal Govt. legal consumables.

The Pulse AIO V2 arrived. The RBA that comes with the kit is really good - flavour and wicking.

The mod is very small and seems good so far. Reads resistance fine and fires fast. The integrated tips that came with the kit aren't much good - hard to get a good connection, but once I replaced them, it all works fine.

    Good morning folks,
seems two package are lost due no update since 23th december.

You mean garbage quality or difficult to work on? I wonder if you have any thoughts about the Pico Mega (the one that can take a 26650), or perhaps you haven't tinkered with one yet?
    Garbage is a bit relative.
Out of the box the Pico X and Pico 21700 are better in TC, they are both completely usable in TC unlike the Pico 75w TC.
You have to use a soldering iron for disassembly, the 21700 may have a little distance from the chipset to the frame, I have burned one due to a short circuit, but the fault could also be on my side. The distance inside is perhaps less at 21700 since it happened.

    I have never had 26650.

Pico 75, 21700, X, 25 are formidable mods based on the price we have given for them.

    Good morning shinies,

It may be that the package from Spain is going to move, Roberto is working on submitting the necessary papers.

The package from AliExpress is probably lost since it says that it is undergoing export customs clearance. If the Chinese do not send in the correct documents for export, the packages will stop.
