That’s kinda weird. I found a rusty deck but this atty had been sitting for quite awhile unused. Fortunately it cleaned right up. Maybe it’s not really rust cuz it scrubbed away. I dunno  ?
It is weird. Best I can tell, moisture got trapped under the insulator, then it rusted and spread down the air hole.

Surface rust came off pretty easy, and the rest (discovered last night) took a bit of sanding.

Hey Shinies, happy Saturday! It's been a while. Hope everyone is safe and well. I'm currently nestled in my vape cave, deep in thought and currently contemplating the existence of the banana fluffernutter in vapable form. If only I had access to a supply of tangible research materials...

I have a love/hate relationship with banana flavors, usually favoring more "fresh" and less "candy" styles but this one has me hooked. It's the sweet banana jam and nutty peanut butter flavor combo that makes this one special. Good stuff.

No new shiny to speak of these days. I'm still pretty well stocked from the paranoid "they're comin' for our vapes" days a few years back. As embarrassing as it is to say, I'm a bit out of the loop when it comes to what's new on the market. I suppose could probably use another regulated mod in my arsenal. I'd grab another lost vape C-frame without thinking twice if the build quality and finish on my last couple held up consistently. Oh well

    Good morning shinies,

I'm going to do some work on the diesel pump today, the plan is to get it out so I can deliver it for overhaul tomorrow.
This winter I didn't have a tractor, and it wasn't much fun when you depend on your neighbors all the time.

Later I hope for a good soldering evening.

From the brilliant a33 to the a57. I love the image quality from Sony and the SLT range suits me down to the ground.

Yep, small, light, and last time I checked, Sony makes the sensors in Nikons. Can't be beat :)

Sony has been the market leader in sensors for well over 10 years.
My old DSLR is not as good at image details as the modern sensors, I thought I'd dust it off this summer and take some pictures again.
Can't remember if Nikon used Sony sensors on the camera I have, a D3.
