Well friends, the butthats at CigBest seem to have entered my name and zipcode without the actual streetname and #... guess who's package is probably less than a km away but headed back to China!

There's no supplier help for CB here is there?

I stopped every postman I could find around town and went to two DHL stations, even they can't contact whatever the brain-motor of the post is called to stop the process. Amazing how logistics makes things impractically complicated though supposedly meant for efficiency...

Here's hoping CB have re-learned english over the last month:rolleyes:

Edit: Just caught up, hope all goes well @borno !

Given my limited knowledge as a USPS employee, without a street address, it would have never made it onto a postal truck, so stopping mail carriers wouldn't be helpful. You could try calling your local post office. Find the number of the local office though. Don't use the USPS toll free number. You'd have to deal with it today, though, because then it goes back. A tracking number will be pretty useful, especially a USPS tracking number. I don't really know much about DHL.

    Alas, this is Germany. DHL/DeutschePost.

I stopped the young men on the street and also asked at the nearest 'Paketshops' precisely to know if there's an actual number to call, email to email or office to visit to no avail. The most informed person (the 20something year old young lady) said there's nothing to do except contact the sender. One gave me a feedback number/email, another started talking about warehouses and how he's from different town giving me the address of the local warehouse and the last gave me the number of his office in the next town over who were already closing but would probably repeat what the lady said.... Kind of feels everyone is an outsourced freelancer.

DHL's methods to contact them is dung, you have to go through the website's ask a question type maze to maybe get to a form and there's often a deadend with nothing but a list of here's what might be happening. It's all designed to streamline the procedure of customer service because they're huge, I guess, but they certainly haven't thought of everything and probably skimp on hiring enough staff.

CB sent the thing with Netherland Post who handed it off to DHL in Germany. They're website is far better, and I got to a person on the chat. They said we;re just the middleman or something, you're a customer of the sender so contact them.

    Anyway, thanks for indulging me:)

Alas, it's much the same here in the good Ole US of A. Sometimes, you can get personalized attention by contacting your local postmaster, but only if he/she gives a :censored:. The big city ones usually don't. And the toll free number people certainly don't. You'll get the same response as you got--contact the sender. I'd have CB reship the order now, and if they won't, then demand a refund.

    Morning shinies ;)

@Letitia No luck with Fatube sadly. They said that they don't have size available for bubble glass in the 5packs. They can do a customised run of it, but the minimum order is 200 bubbles
Thanks Ange for trying, still not loving the shift so not particularly disappointed. Do very much like the ascent mod so no real lost involved.

Cleaned up the two sulky Solos and removed the o rings and both are now working again. A Dani Mini and two ProVaris also got a scrub, and they're all working now, too.

I have learned an important lesson.

    . . . later
I spoke too soon. One of the Solos is already acting up again. Rats.

What does cleaning up a mod entail roughly speaking?

    Basically cleaning electrical contact points.

Get some isopropyl alcohol. 99% is best.

Then use a paper towel with the isopropyl to clean any threads, including the 510. If you have a battery cap clean the threads on the cap and whatever it screws onto/into. If you drop the battery into a tube you should clean the contact at the bottom of the tube. The eraser on a pencil is good for that. Or you can use isopropyl on one of those extra long Q-tips. If it's not a battery cap system just clean the battery contacts. Just any contact you can get to.

    Hi All,

I'm still alive and well! Hope you all are too.

Great to see you back @virm

At least it was a cheap attempt at a fix :) And getting one back functional is at least a partial win.
