At home again, still sick. Standing outside for that service didn't help yesterday.
Initial Dead Rabbit SQ thoughts.
I can't comment on flavor until this damn illness goes away. I can't taste anything in any atty.
The build deck is easy enough. He made some changes similar to the Drop on the posts making trimming a little easier. Posts are offset enough that you'll need to use something to twist them in place if not built overhand (maybe it's underhand). I put 3
coils in last night and no real issues.
I am very grateful that the topcap locks in place. No more twisting out of alignment when adjusting airflow. Adjusting is easy enough. Seems the caps tolerances with o-rings is correct and cap turns easily. There are adjustments similar to the OG Rabbit, single coil option was removed for obvious reasons. There are also restricted MTL options if you twist pass the DTL openings.
The included MTL 510 drip tip is nice. Feels quality, with a stainless adapter. Not my style though.
The resin tip feels better than the OG tip. Can't put my finger on why.
Sqonking is good. Wells are not terribly deep but really don't need to be. There are channels that kinda divert the liquid towards both under the Peek on the deck. Sqonk action was good and liquid is sucked back well enough.
Huge goodie bag of spares, o-rings are plenty. Flat head and Allen key included as well as grub, and a regular 510 pin as the sqonk pin comes installed.
Will make some decent Ni80
coils later and drop resistance down from .3 later if feel up to it.
Without actually having tasted this things flavor it's hard to say if it's a good buy or not. Educated guess says it is. It's attractive, although I really wish the logo wasn't chromed. I would like blacked out better but that is just subjective.
Both Brad and Cloudy have them, Cloudy just sent email that they're back in stock. Around $37 with free shipping at both places. China may be cheaper.
(Small add on. As I wrote this meds kicked in a little and I'm starting to taste. Flavor is there, I still can't get it all. I'd say it's a good (great maybe later) flavor RDA.
