does it taste burnt or overly sweet? Sweet juices can do that. Coil position also makes a big difference. I have had a few that caramelized the wicks on me even with a competition cap. If sweet juice is the reason your drop in coils probably looked like that but you just couldnt see it. DIY will definitely improve that. Even juice I make that I consider sweet never really caramelizes or builds up carbon on the coils.
Apologies we neglected part of your education. Dry burn at lower watts and gently pulse, you don't need much heat to dry burn.It tasted fine. I was trying to distract myself till it was time for the hubs to get his head shaved. I was surprised it was so grungy. Didn’t occur to me to burn it off and rewick. Bleck!!
If it didn't leak or produce dry hits I would hold off on cotton experiments, differentially gunked coils are an airflow issue. Less cotton could also make your atty leak, sweet juice on the floor - that's how you get ants.Less cotton?
Dwarf Velocity.Dual coil usually means more open draw. You could take a look at the icloudcig moradin

very affordable and good flavor. Not exactly a velocity deck, more like half velocitystill not hard to build.
My brother bought one back in December and now he has 3 of them.
Yeah sorry I linked the wrong one - butterfingers. But good french butter so it's not that bad.Dwarf Velocity.
I was getting a burnt taste and dry hits in my MTL set ups. Someone suggested to me that I try cutting my cotton around twice the width of the inner diameter of my coil. It's been working really well for me. YMMVLess cotton? I cut a strip about 1/8-1/4” off the sheet... had that coil 1.04 ohms at 12 watts. Already a cool temp vape
^ see what I did there ^![]()
The 3.5ml, Velocity-styled Battlestar RTA would look great on a Charon or Cylon. Build and properly wick 3mm coils and it won't leak.Maybe an rdta instead. Do like the flavor from an rdta.
I couldn't find an extension kit for the Battlestar, one of the first ones I took another look at.The 3.5ml, Velocity-styled Battlestar RTA would look great on a Charon or Cylon. Build and properly wick 3mm coils and it won't leak.
I buy some, I make some. Sometimes I make more than I buy and sometimes it's vice versa. There's nothing like the satisfaction of the first few hits of a new recipe that you just nailed. Not yet.. down the road maybe. Sounds like quite the investment for a slow ROI. I can by premium e-juice for 12.84 for 120ml
Yikes!it was time for the hubs to get his head shaved. I was surprised it was so grungy. Didn’t occur to me to burn it off ... Bleck!!
seems like a big waste of cotton.there must be a thousand different ways to wick.i'm sure mine is one of a kind,do like the top layer and just cut a strip.
I cooked the s**t out of it after I tested the ohms....OOOPSApologies we neglected part of your education. Dry burn at lower watts and gently pulse, you don't need much heat to dry burn.
Nobody got this (yet).Dwarf Velocity.
That was what I did with the coil today ( to the best of my current ability). I tried the spaced first because I wasn’t sure I could do it. A tight coil I know how to make. Probably should go back to 3, not 2.5? This second coil attempt vapes much smoother.View attachment 731699 View attachment 731701 View attachment 731697 @NolaMel Try a micro coil. Wrap the coil to where the wires aer touching each other or as close as you can get. Then heat them and gently squeeze or pinch with a pair of ceramic or tweezers or bird beak needle nose pliers. Repeat until it glows from the inside out. Honestly I find them easier to make than spaced coils.
