It’s all in the phrasing aka marketing.Made to order would cut into profit and would reduce the value overall.
$25-100Wonder what a block of stab burl wood actually costs?
Did the survey thanks for all the links, finally got one done....
I view it as helpful (I hope) also penance for spilling my coffee in my vape area. They mods are all fine, I can be pretty speedy on "No" coffee if needed. LOL, this was the second time. I really need to get a coffee cup with a lid. Once can be ignored, twice is part of a pattern.
I don't like coffee with lids, but I also don't like killing off mods, etc.

We’ve got all the tools... I’d think you could drill press out the cavity and clean it up with chisels and the dremel. Hard part would be the gutsI think it is time for me to learn woodworking and get some DNA chips
Micarta might not appeal to you and me, but it sounds like an ideal material... sounds like they can impregnate anything porous with it. I saw linen, paper and wood on the listNope, same for acrylic. Pretty but if I go custom I want what I will not get tired of holding or looking at.
Looking at some right now, they’re £35... probably find some cheaper on Ebay. Only looked at one placeWonder what a block of stab burl wood actually costs?
You can do some awesome looking stuff with it, including bone or ivory, I got to know it while making handles for my straight razors.it sounds like an ideal material... sounds like they can impregnate anything porous with it. I saw linen, paper and wood on the list
I prefer stainless too.. it’s all in what feels best in your hand and appeals to the eyes. Wood would guarantee you a one of a kind, and might offer a bit more drop protection, depending on the resin added imoStainless Steel with a DNA 75C or DNA 60 chip and i would buy one. To me the stabilized wood or acrylic or nylon looks really garish or cheap.
The straw is through the tiny hole in the lid to keep me from spilling it before properly awake. I doubt a straw would save anyone’s pearly whites. Coffee ends up the same place with or withoutThe only people I've seen using coffee straws was this couple on Wifeswap (why yes, I did have a reality tv period, the worse, the better) and the couple was so .... about their tooth whitening, that's why they did it.
Not judging you either, whether that was your rationale or not. I will note "Wifeswap" assigned that couple, I want to say, a very "disorderly, amusement oriented "wife" for the family and etc. Hilarity ensued....
Yeah, I could see a straw working for some, but I need a lid because it's not a matter of the coffee remaining stationary, alone, I have to "transport and carefully place" my coffee on to my coffee table, LOL, that's been the problem (twice) so a straw won't save me. I'd try it and all but usually it's during "Transport huge mug of coffee number one."
Hmm I thought stabwood was more expensive than that (the husband was considering making a mod at one point but he (rightfully) decided that rehabbing our bathroom and kitchen and roof was ah, more urgent.
Since I'm the beneficiary well.... I have to say I admire custom mods and makers it's a rough market, for sure, as it's hard justifying some of the pricing although I'd really LOVE to justify it.

Isn't that why we love this thread? I know it's why I do, well and the people too.such wonderful trips we take one day we talk about taking over France and now making custom mods and drinking coffee with a straw.
Now you've mentioned it twice and I have to go look.Has anyone used Asmodus’s voluna rta?
Beautiful!Been procrastinating for long time ever since giving up tobacco pipes and cigs like 8 years back as i had some briar blocks that carved into pipes using a dremel posted many pages back time consuming but rewarding as i use my carved shaving brush all the time.
Have 4/5hcigar dna vt 75w nano's plus a spare bought black c frame and battery cover so that part would be simple as the board and buttons attach directly to it. But would probably take apart the eldest one with board attached and just buy one of those burls and carve out to fit the c frame as would have the the back portion the c frame fits onto as a template.
Here are some i did carve and still have shown also is one of the blocks of briar used..
Hand sanded down to very fine grit and polished with bee's wax.
