YEP. The ditzy prosecutor set the trial date for January 16th. We will appear at that time and then point out that they have violated the "speedy trial rule" and given this case is over 3 years old, if the judge tries to pull a fast one, well, perhaps I need not be there as I would seriously choke her out on the floor, and I have met this judge and am QUITE capable of doing it. BUT they were too dumb to REALIZE it, so my son's lawyer just proceeded happily ahead. I can't really see a valid reason that a non-starter of a DUI case with the only policeman who saw him drive is on record as stating that he was driving FINE could be continued....
SUCH relief, hopefully (this is AZ, they could easily hold the trial on some ridiculous fashion and make us appeal it) in which case I believe it might be wiser for me to choke the judge out in an undisclosed location, not the courtroom, as that's a bit of visibility I simply do not need.

So far so good. I haven't ever used a squonker before, so I have nothing to compare it to. I put a .50 ohm build in it and it works well. Seems to be a solid little mod.
OMG I got so excited, I thought I was about to get the new Ares tank from Phil, Dimi, and Innokin + a mod for $18.45. I should have realized it was too good to be true and noticed the spelling difference, but no, I clicked the link and got disappointed.
I'd like to state for the record that it was stols001 who introduced the idea for this thread. I just saw an opportunity to have a little fun and ran with it.
Just a little background on my mental state when it comes to wants (needs are a whole other ball game and taken seriously).
I grew up not being able to get what I liked and what the cool kids had. I eventually got a job and then the gates were open. That's the short version of a long story.
I've also often been accused of being a bad influence. Friends girlfriends didn't care much for me, and when I was best man the bride literally threatened me & the groom to behave.
I didn't.
So, yeah, I say live as large as you can (you should at least make a token effort at responsibility) and know tomorrow isn't guaranteed. Eat, drink, be Mary, unless you wanna be Steve, in which case be Steve, who really cares.
So yeah, I'm not the one to come to if you wanna be talked down off the shiny ledge. I'm gonna push you off and giggle when I do. It's just me.
There's a yin/yang, good/bad, light side/dark side to every little group. Have some fun, have some faith. Lack of it will disappoint me.

Hey at least you're honest.
Back in my younger days I was quite the wild, cut up myself. I used to say "If you aren't living on the edge you're taking up too much room." I remember one time at a local fair they had this "Ghost Train" ride that was just little carts that took you through a short "haunted house" with a few jump scares. Kind of boring. So I decided I would liven things up a bit.
About half way through I jumped off my cart and hid in the dark. The next cart that came though (had a guy and a girl obviously on a date) I jumped out of my hiding spot onto the front of their cart, screaming "BOO!". The guy literally shoved his girl at me while ducking behind her and I swear one of them shat their britches. I doubt they dated for much longer. Unfortunately, the ride operator was not amused and made me leave the ride before I could provide enjoyment for more than 2 carts.
Just a taste, I'm not going into much.
Groom passed out at party. Took bowling ball, 3 feet of chain, lag bolt, and a pad lock. Put $2 and a note in pocket and put on a greyhound.
