So yeah, I'm not the one to come to if you wanna be talked down off the shiny ledge. I'm gonna push you off and giggle when I do. It's just me.

There's a yin/yang, good/bad, light side/dark side to every little group. Have some fun, have some faith. Lack of it will disappoint me. :)

Now, @stols001, the task for you is to counter my wickedness.

Good luck with that :)

I'll take a shot at it. I've often thought of opening up a suicide encouragement hotline with the number 1-800-JUMP-NOW! But that would be wrong.

One Halloween in high school, we decide to scare our friend Mike. He was cleaning the carpets in the house of another friend of ours while they were out of town for cash. We rolled up to the house with the lights off. Some of us snuck around the house and made noise while someone else rang the doorbell. Then we slipped back into the car with the engine running. My friend Rusty (he was the fastest) striped .... naked and slipped into the house and when Mike came back from the door, Rusty waited five minutes then jumped out of a closet wearing nothing but a glow in the dark skull mask. Mike screamed bloody murder and Rusty ran out of the house and jumped into the moving car. We laughed and laughed and went for Slurpees. Then we went back to tell Mike it was us but the house was surrounded by police cars so we drove on. He told us later they came in, guns drawn, and cuffed him, and left him spread eagled while they checked out his story. Apparently the neighbors knew the people who lived there were out of town and thought we were ripping off the place so they called the cops. Even Mike admitted it was a good practical joke once he was uncuffed with no charges pressed.

So I have buyers remorse with the Elitar pipe mod. It's very silly and big and heavy.
You're looking at it all wrong.
It's sophisticated and plus sized.

It's kind of nice to actually want something any more. Wife and I exchanged Christmas present requests. I asked for a Jac. It took her a couple of days to think of something, she decided on a fancy table lamp.

Maybe just me but it seems like you spend your early years wanting more and better stuff. Better camera, cooler vehicle, new stereo, whatever. Feeling frustrated if you can't get it all. You come to a point where you either have everything you want or you just don't want so much any more. Then you start clearing out stuff. That's where I am anyway.

I know a few people in my age range who still feel the need to buy new top of the range things, but not many.

Good thing about vaping is you can obsessively search and acquire gear without spending much. At least you have that option. You can spend a lot of money if you want.

^ This, so much this. Most of my family stopped even giving presents at Christmas because we had no more room for cute decorations, we can pick our clothes better than someone else, and there aren't any kids anymore. Now we avoid the hassle and expense of Christmas and just get together and enjoy the company. Much more relaxed that way. The wife and I did buy a new TV for the living room just before Thanksgiving and that is our Christmas present to each other. Beyond that neither of us really want for much. We still buy stuff for our 17yr old daughter and my wife's young nephews but that's pretty much it.

Exactly! You want and want. Then satisfied for a brief time. Then turn around and try to thin it all down.

Vaping kind of short circuits the pattern though. First, because of the threat of vapocalypse. Second, because of the threat of discontinued favorites. I tend to be torn between stocking up and thinning out.

Shinyitis is hitting.
Gotta cart building at Brad's. I've worked about 10 hours OT & hit incentive, only need a few presents...
dotMod or maybe that new dual battery sqonk from Geekvape, or an Iconic RDA.

Really would like another mech sqonk.

(Feeble attempt to get close to back on topic, not that it matters)
