i about choked on that one.
i've rescued baby rabbits from cats in the past. not sure I could save even a baby opossum. even the babies grow up to be scary creatures with lots of teeth
They are actually really gentle creatures and N. America's only marsupial

We have nutria's in this part of the country, plant eaters, not harmful, but look like giant rats:)

All opossum deserve death... the quicker the better... nothing more than giant rats... disgusting!

My old cat (who passed) was bit by an opossum spent a week at the vet's on IV antibiotics before we knew she was going to pull through and not die...

Disgusting disgusting filthy animals...
and those teeth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think they're more similar to the groundhogs we have. aren't they destructive as hell?

Yes, they destroy the marsh. They use to have a hunting season to thin them out, not sure if they still do though (I don't hunt)

thought I saw a cooking show where they were in Louisiana and someone cooked a nutria. I had never heard of them before and when I looked them up I realized how they could tear some s&*t up

Personally, I don't like snakes, but I don't kill them, unless I have to. Normally I just scream like a little girl and run away:D

Snakes don't bother me... we used to have several dens of copperhead when I first bought my land so they were thick in the beginning... but they really never bothered me.

Snakes as a general rule just don't appreciate being stepped on accidentally. ..
