I've seen people take a torch to the SS version for a little rainbow color change and also putting the metal parts on a stove top to apply heat. Remove all o-rings and insulators first.

Way to ruin my day.You could try a bumper shop too. I had a guy I used to work with that got all kinds of crazy finishes put on his small bike parts that way.John says that our blowtorch doesn't work. I want to know why it is still in the tool cabinet in the garage if it doesn't work.
There is a guy on the SXMini Brotherhood FB page who has been electroplating all of his stainless tanks (the Aromamizer Plus was one) in gold, and they look fabulous. Really! The problem is that it would cost close to $1000 to get all of the equipment to do a professional looking job. That ruined my day too. I plan to check around and see if any local jewelry makers would be willing to try gold electroplating a tank for a reasonable price.
