Not really. I've only discovered my sweet spot vaping style within the last year or so. So I have to collect those backups that work for me, right? My problem isn't I want it all, it's that what I want isn't cheap. Therefore very few backups. Guess I'm blessed that my preferred rta is under $25. Pick up one every time I order from FT. My reasoning is sound. (that's my story and I'm sticking to it:D)

I, too, am settling to my sweet spot and backups of the spot is not a luxury.

Hopefully the newer Dovpo gear is of better quality, their previous 510's were absolute garbage.

The only Dovpo I have is the MVV. Like it, but have only had it a few weeks. If I pick up the VEE one will go into the closet for backup. The Cylon and Fireluke will probably be a closet set soon along with the Zeus. Too many setups going, time to whittle. The Cylon and FL will come back out several times a year for when I'm in the mood for higher watts.

JFC always says that to psych himself into a purchase.

LOL, yesterday I said Chinese New Year was passing quickly.... I no longer FEEL that way anymore and want my Cylon to arrive today!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL, it hasn't shipped yet. :( I did get some great flavors yesterday, but too late in the day to mix. And possibly not today either, as me and the kid are going second hand shopping (Goodwills, etc., and pawn shops). The kiddo loves pawnshops and Kirby vacuum cleaners. He's always been a collector, but I feel like it's going to be a busy afternoon.

I decided, since he is leaving in July, to take him on happy "goodbye" expeditions. Last week it was the gem show today, second hand shops. LOL. I think I will have fun, but perhaps not enough time for mixing. I really WANT to but DON'T. Oh well more flavors arrive today, so perhaps tomorrow.... The day where I intentionally scheduled Nothing at All.

I've decided to hold out for the dna 250c to come out in acceptable mod form.

Once they do, I'm hoping to buy three.. talked to hubby about it and got the all clear already - although we don't usually care what we each spend on our fun stuff, so long as our portion of the bills get paid.

After that, if they don't come out with a Hastur v2 then I'm just gonna buy three or four more of those along with a siren or two or three for hubby's future.

Then, with the exception of that Tiffany Blue DotMod squonker, I think I'm done, for about 20 years.

 The FDA can kiss my rear.

Speaking of Hasturs and Sirens I wanted to thank you for giving me those suggestions. I've watched a few vids on each and I'm leaning towards the Siren 2. One reviewer even commented that he thought it was as good as the Berserker in terms of flavor but the Siren 2 was easier to build and wick. Easy to wick = GOOD for me and my terrible manual dexterity

I found the Siren 2 a very easy build. I think that you will like the way the wires are held in place. I certainly do.

I hate the FDA for many, many reasons, including the fact (I am in alignment with Trump here) that they won't let "other countries" use THEIR studies on medicines. Prior to Lithium and no teeth, I found the perfect anti-depressant. It's called Stablon, and the French developed it. It works OPPOSITE to SSRIs, it actually down-regulates it somewhere. It is a novel, one of a kind anti depressant, and it's ONLY real side effect of note is that if you have asthma, it may also treat the condition. France, being France, was like, "Merde to you, FDA" and didn't launch it here. Now, it's off patent, and no one will touch it for the money required to complete FDA studies. I actually imported some for a while (not illegal, but if shipment is found, customs will turn it back) but it just got TOO expensive. FDA, you are not so speshul, and lots of countries do studies BETTER than you do. Plus, I think they didn't want to upset the SSRI makers, by showing that serotonin is not the BE all and END all of anti-depressants, SSRIs actually have some awful side effects and are really not so effective for many folks (not all). It would've been interesting to see....

But yeah, that is a pet peeve. There's nothing worse than finding a medication that works for you, that isn't available here and etc. Then, there's the darn "orphan drug" status. Riluzole is the only thing available to treat some type of very rare elderly illness, something like Lou Gehrig's disease or something. They did all these studies on how well it treated depression, but you had BETTER believe that the drug company did not want to lose its "orphan drug status" (stays on patent longer, and can charge an arm and a leg if it's the only treatment). Those studies were MIRACULOUS. People who'd tried everything failed it, and etc. But would the FDA "approve" it no, no they wouldn't. The researchers actually had to BUY riluzole at drug company prices (totally unheard of for drug testing) got awesome results.... Then, crickets.

So, I don't just hate the FDA for vaping issues. I have built up a huge wall of hate for them for a long, long time now. LOL. As a pretty educated person with illness, I have watched their madness in action for some time now.

I'm glad I panicked about vaping and am self-sufficient. Because, the FDA doesn't care about "health" and options, not the slightest bit, and I don't think they have for a very long time, if ever. "Trust no one and accept NO statement as truth," should really be their MOTTO.

Sorry for the rant, I will stop now.....

@NolaMel I buy my nic base in one gallon containers already "mixed". I find it easier to do that way and 1 gallon lasts me over a year. For roughly $35 shipped I am good to go for a year or more as far as nic base goes.

Siren V2 and ares have easiest build deck ever. I love both of them, although I do own 3 siren V2 and only one ares.... So far. But yes, it's a super easy build.

I would like to get one DNAc to see if I will use the replay function. If I don't utilize that feature I'll just pick up a couple more Therion 133 or 166 for the closet. After those and a couple more VV devices I'll be set for backups. I am going to split my backups and take a box full to Mom's and Meg's house. That way I don't have to start over from scratch if there is a fire here. My house is old and the two neighboring houses are as well. I am on a half lot and the house behind me is owned by a local slum lord, the wiring hasn't been updated there in the 25+ years I've lived here.

Storing elsewhere is a great idea.

I'm planning on getting three of the DNA 250c because they wont get through FDA approval.

Thats means they will be highly sought after at some point. At some point just having them will be money in the bank. .

It's a crapshoot, but definitely a risk I'm willing to take.
