Possible dumb question for the extremely shiny....
I'm allowing myself one or the other by the end of this month, so,
Which one?
Vandy Vape Pulse 80W
Or
Pick a dna squonker under $130...
My biggest question being, I know some of you have experience with both chips. I am aware the dna in the new "c" configuration is pretty damn customizable out of the box, even without a computer. As far as I know, dna and Yihi are still top dogs, but from what ive read and watched, im not sure that the Gene chip is that far off...
Given a choice of only one (at least for a long while), which is the better long term investment?

Really? Set up on 14 watts and really only taking a few puffs at a time? It's not functioning much differently than my other TC tanks, I never hit high wattages at all... I guess I can recheck the tank on one of my other mods, but I didn't find my temps to be super odd, perhaps other TC mods have been slightly higher, but not by that much. I'm just wondering what you are basing that on?

So, a few days away and 100 pages back. Nope, ain't gonna even try. Likes to everyone. Been involved with my daughter so no time for here but it looks like things are settling down.

So, if anyone would forgive my absence and be so kind, but any new shiny stuff released in the last four days?
How's It?
And I haven't noticed anything worthwhile in a long minute...
The vape world seems stuck on VV's new Pulse regulated atm. Lol. I'd say many new things on the way soon...

I'd say patience is. You can't get the pulse yet anyways. Wait until the first guinea pigs got it then another month, during that time a new DNA squonker may see the light of day and you'll have user reviews of the pulse by then.
I may or may not be one of those guinea pigs

Of you're into temp control, the DNA. If you're a strictly wattage user it's fine to look at others. However there's a new feature with the DNA C boards and that's something called replay. I've not had time to really check it out but it could offer benefits that would still make the price premium justified.

DNA all the way, if the Gene chip in the Pulse 80W is anything like the Drag.
I'm not a fan of left field TCR values and the three clicks to switch between modes drives me insane. That doesn't need to be a function of the fire button, put the mode switching in the operations menu!!

You are not going to get a DNA 250C squonker in the $130 range though...

Good to see you back Eskie. New DNAc Therion on the horizon. Looks to be a 2x700. Hoping it comes in squonk and non-squonk. Personally I'd rather have dual 18650 with new chip.
Dual Sanyo 20700A's over a dual 18650, any day and all day! :D

How much bigger and heavier would it be compared to the dual 18650 Therion? What I love most about the Therion is the hand feel.

Because, if it's vaping in the 200's I doubt that TC is even functioning... The mod is providing the power you need, but it never gets to the temperature set limit. So it just keeps on putting out 14W in an attempt to bring the coil up to speed. A second or two later you are off the gas and the coil cools back down again.

None of my mods that are setup for TC produce any vapor under 300F, they might produce a little but none worth vaping. I'm not suggesting that you have to be a Clouds Bro Clouds vaper to see proper results either.

What mod are you using the TC on and what build is in the atty?

The 20700's are 5mm taller, 2mm bigger in diameter and ~20g heavier. Not really a whole lot of difference except for the height.

We'll have to see how the 20650's play out when they are readily available.

PogChamp.png
115mm cell

They are 5mm longer. The last "0" in 20700 designates that it's a round cell and 70-65 = 5 :p
