Please tell me it's home made and not a Jiffy box. White cornmeal cornbread started in a cast iron skillet and finished in the oven can't be beat imo.

Yellow corn meal, but yeah. Real butter and buttermilk.

Jiffy is way too sweet for me. Homemade cornbread is not hard. Martha White white cornmeal mix is a good easy recipe.

My cornbread skillet has straight sides. Made cb once in a 9x13 oven dish. Just not the same.
