If it saves your draft delete entire reply screen and type in a new reply from the top. The only time this did not work for me is when I hit reply or quote on another post. Just delete what is there and type nevermind.
If your post got saved, it will be there until you delete everything, post something else (maybe something short, LOL) and then move on from this difficult moment. The "draft" feature can be useful, and then it can be annoying. You can click on reply, delete everything but your name, post THAT, and then move about the cabin with whatever you want to post.
You can also type your name in to the dialogue box (after deletion) and wait 5 minutes, and your "new draft" will be saved, but that seems awfully effortful to me. I use a PC tho.
