In Germany major international customs hubs have a fair bit of automation/computer recognition. Are they going to pay overtime to customs agents to open every single package from China?
Like I said, snails pace. At least that’s their top speed on the medical sideThe most salient point in the article, IMO: "The FDA has asked for bids on a contract to provide “vape Inspection” services. The agency is prepared to spend $23 million over a five-year period to verify compliance, and has published a detailed list of items inspectors will be searching for."
Good luck with that.
So, TSA for packages? In Germany major international customs hub have a fair bit of automation/computer recognition.
Would expect the US to have similar capabilities.
Kind of. I'm not involved with their actual software but I was a coder in 2 AI scanner/recognition projects (robots&warehouse). Likely there'd be a point system similar to what a spam checker has and it would be based on several different things, spitting out a score the system can base some basic decisions on. Sender address/origin and weight would be obvious ones, shape matching and other black magic would be others. If a score gets high enough actual humans would look into it.So, TSA for packages?
I'm coming because I love his dog.Yay, Letitia is coming too!!!
I’d have to see a picture firstI'm coming because I love his dog.
Why thanks, I've been working out.Stunning creature. Moves like a thoroughbred.
Probably a scare tactic to bring in money from those that haven't already complied.
Mine, not so much... but he did tell me to order whatever shinies I want for my upcoming vape anniversary. I could have posted the picture of him standing at the oak tree during the middle of a hurricane waiting for the squirrels, but no need to embarrass someone who supports my buying of shiny goodies!Stunning creature. Moves like a thoroughbred.
Just saw something on FB saying that e-cigs had 10X the cancer causing agents that a analog carries, some Japanese scientist has came up with that claim, guessing he is PO'd about China having cornered the market on vaping, and it's his only way to try and fight back... But you know what they say....If it's on FB it must be true![]()
Bring him along too. Looks like he puts a smile on your face every day.View attachment 730451

I don't know about that.Oh the Japanese are just trying to ramp up the fear so the black market will open up for them..
I don't know about that.
I doubt they will hire a company that small and the co. they do hire will have a list of who the FDA wants a hard look at.But it will be effective..
23 million over 5 years will hire two guys.. but those two guys can cause a lot of damage when no one knows if they will be next...
