@NolaMel Blow dryer is frustrating for me too trying to wrap batteries. I'm ordering this. It was recommended on another thread. Good enough as I have no other uses for a heat gun.

Letitia to the rescue! I have a heat gun ( we use it to strip paint from reclaimed wood), but I was afraid it would be too hot. I’ve left heavy scorch marks (smoking black ) a few times mindlessly removing paint.

Ideally your heat gun can be turned down a bit, also use distance and just dip the battery into the hot air and continuously rotate them. Use cheap wraps to practice with.

Exactly why I don't want anything bigger, I'm not what you would call detail oriented when it comes to using tools. I get distracted easily, worse than a dog that has spotted a squirrel.

I think the board on my efest 6 bay is going out. The numbers on the charging batteries is furry, but not on the empty bays. Any suggestions on a replacement? I like the Bluetooth connection so I can watch how close they are to done ( it’s in the back of the house)

I have a nitecore intellecharger 2 bay. It's totally fine for my needs and has proved itself durable (I don't do Bluetooth except inadvertently if my husband makes something "so") so I'm guessing you are looking for something a little bit more exciting....

My wife has some sort of heater thingy for nail wraps. Sits at andle and works well for wrapping batteries.

8 minutes is more than enough time to wrap a battery...

My wraps are done in 40 seconds but my fingers are done in 20

When I use the blow dryer I end up with a nipple at the top and usually have to do it over several times. In my defense I only need to wrap a couple times a year.
