I think I said I'd never been on a cruise, not that I wanted to necessarily (they are walking germs etc) but I'm not going back 15 pages to check. I may have said I wanted to, potentially.
That was my favorite ever David Foster Wallace quote, one of his essays "A supposedly fun thing I'll never do again," where he compared the fog horns to board as somewhat similar to Nazi "warnings" to get the Jewish into cattle cars (only he said it more eloquently, I think). Ever since then, I haven't really wondered too much about cruises. I assume they're a lot like Tucson. Hot, slightly yukky "area" shared with a lot of Elderly and some "forced entertainment." Heh.

I was checking my favorite sites over the weekend, looking at sales and window shopping... it seems like a lot of stuff is oos. Recent gear, not older stuff. Is that because of Chinese New Year? Hopeful that’s the reason.

Let’s see... after weekend shopping, I have everyone’s totals of available cash. We have $4.87 to spend on our island. I think we’ll need an agent, and perhaps look at “fixer uppers”Hell with it let's just all pitch in and buy an island.
There is so much new gear released almost daily that many hold off on further runs to see if they think they can sell more and also so you are forced to buy the next new thing on pre-order so you don't miss out again.
