We know flavors help people switch to vaping. Maybe in a few years the cities that banned flavors will somehow have a higher smoking rate than others, that'd be the perfect excuse for the FDA not to ban flavors.
It sucks for SF residents but as its still somehow locally constrained it could be the perfect demonstration on how not to treat vaping.
Just trying to find potential good that could come from that short sighted ban.

Flavor bans are a waste of time, buy unflavored and some one shots and good to go. The people that know vaping works will find a way to get flavors period. They will then share their findings and so on.

I was in San Fran early last year for a dam safety evaluation on a project nearby (Camanche).
There are major parts of the city that third world nations would be ashamed of. Human waste in the streets just feet away from tent villages. Spent syringes, "house"hold garbage, diapers...
It kinda made me want to set a charge that would trigger a Richter 10 quake to (1) destroy the city and (2) topple Camanche Dam and wash what was left into the Pacific. But I dismissed the idea because (1) I don't blow things up anymore and (2) God will get around to it on his time, not mine.
Right next to "Bat.... Crazy" in the dictionary is a picture of one of my old girlfriends (OMG Gorgeous) and the San Fran skyline. Caption below says "pick one."

So a little confused about the ban, I'm guessing B&M's are not allowed to sell (Flavored) e-juice.. I get that.. If a resident orders something online, is there consequences for that as well? or would online retailers be banned from selling to someone living within the confines of the city?

It would add to the cost of doing business but all you gotta do is sell unflavored nicotine liquid in one location and zero nicotine flavored liquid in another location.
They're as stupid as they are crazy out there.
Coincidentally those are the exact flavors still allowed under the ban
I’ll keep stocking up on DIY goodies. I feel for everyone who doesn’t want to diy or isn’t able to. This ban is putting in coffin nails for heaven knows how many people. I’m tenacious, especially about getting something I want/need... but I’m afraid too many will give up and go back to stinkies if you take the ease of a b&m out of the equation. If you’re on a tight budget, taking a chance on ordering a juice online is a gamble some might not take
I've got like 5 go-to flavors that I have stockpiled and they are so inexpensive, i cannot justify the initial cost of starting up a DIY as of yet.. I guess if the time comes where our city/state decides that it should be banned i may reconsider.. I am now getting premium e-juice for around $11.00 for 100ml 2 of them around the same price but 120ml.. So I find it difficult to justify with those prices

But, I popped into a vape shop here, just to see what's up with vaping in Italy.
It was interesting that although they sell lots of different juices, they also sell a bunch of premade extracts without nic. When I asked why, the answer was that the EU established taxes on eliquids which ended up doubling the price. So, by selling just flavor extracts without nic they get around the taxation.
I think vapers everywhere (except where there's a death penalty for it) will find a way, though it may become difficult for vape shops.

That's flat out wrong. It's the Italian government that imposed those horrendous taxes, not the EU. Taxes are imposed by member states, the only way for a EU wide tax would be every single member states government agreeing with each other to impose a certain tax. The EU parliament explicitly doesn't have the power to do that.
Eg Germany, France, UK, Netherlands don't have any taxes (other than normal VAT levied on all goods) on vape related stuff.
