I guess I should have said metallic finish or something else since chrome usually is associated with a color. They are painted with a special paint, overcoated so that they stay shiny. I used to know what these finishes were called, but have forgotten. At least everyone kind of sort of knew what I meant.
Ugh our house is swarming with workers, man, and ALSO we get a free duct cleaning Monday? I think that's good because it smells AWFUL in here. I been applying for jobs, I've decided I just got to do it and suck it up (the part time SW thing) and honestly, as long as it's a NEW population (like, geriatric not kids) that may be okay. The no experience may be a problem I guess, but I used up all my mad love and SW skills on the tribe. Sigh.
I'm tired, it's like 100 degrees in here, and I can't bathe (mainly due to the swarm of workers) but also, I'm scared to move from the couch.
The husband secured us a 1300 rebate somehow. You had better believe he is giving me half that money sos I can get my license reactivated, my CPR renewed and all that.
He doesn't know it yet. He will. IF he gives me any grief, I can just give him the, "You have work PTSD, I can actually REPAY you, probably and etc.
It's so mean to do. I know it is. But, he will still get THAT talk if needed. Imma gonna give him half of the Tibetan bowls, I mean....

Grats to the Caps. They played their a$$3$ off. This is just the beginning for the VGK. This is the first pro team we ever had here. The city has gone nuts over them. I was never a big sports guy before but this has been a lot of fun. I think they are planning to shut down the Strip and have a parade for them.
Man, some pottery place from England has viewed my application 7 times. LOL, it's a job I actually wouldn't mind doing.
There must be NO other applicants, that, or they're trying to figure out WHY I applied. Well, I like pottery as much as (or perhaps more) than the next person. When my brother finally decided to ditch his last serious GF (whom he treated horribly, at one point I told him "I actually like her as much as, or maybe more than you, dude! Knock it off!" Heh, later my mom instructed me to revoke the statement, saying his feelings were hurt. I was like, "Well the truth HURTS mom! I'm not retracting anything! He was a total (censored many censored words)."
He finally decided (she was a very talented potter) to give all the stuff she made to goodwill. I was like, "NO, give them to ME!" LOL, I considered tracking her down to see if she wanted the stuff, but thinking it over, "Hi, (GF name) this is Anna, your ex boyfriend's big sister, and I rescued all the pots he was going to offload at Goodwill do you maybe--" (that is a terrible idea, I see this going nowhere good.)
I am SO intrigued by this happening though, I kinda want to email them and ask, "Sup?" LOL.

Okay it's 1200 degrees in here, the workers have (indirectly) indicated their desire to move in for a couple of months... I'm gonna break out the dang EXOTIC coils here in a minute and build one of my Ares, which is upsetting me because the darn wire I have in there is a perfect 1.0 coil UNTIL I put the dome on, at which point my Cylon gives me an "Atomizer short" message. Time for a tear down and replacement with my first (hopefully, and by that I mean it better not take me seven to get it installed) exotic coil. I gotta do SOMETHING.
It's that, or a quick dip in the dog's kiddie pool. LOL, that might be more fun, if Only because it might make the workers speed up a bit. Surely no one wants to work in the "nut house" and etc.

Yep, I did mount this one sort of on the high side. THEN I could build an entirely NEW atomizer with an exotic coil!
OMG, the workers are ASKING if we "want the new thermostat" as if it were even a QUESTION. They MUST sell this stuff off, because they were going to charge a "removal" fee of 250 dollars, and like, the husband pointed out they would be selling it to a junkyard for the copper, and they were welcome to LEAVE it. LOL Suddenly, we had no "removal fee."
It was a LONG talk too, like, who on EARTH (other than perhaps the very geriatric) would want to hold on to a thermostat that was installed in 1991?

Anna, The short must be that the wire is somehow touching the dome and causing the short. If the coil still reads an ohm see if you can adjust the coil closer towards the middle or push it downwards or something. May save a tear down. Nothing to lose at this point.
