I have one of these and a person (non vaper) that is always teasing me about my mods getting bigger and fancier saw it and said "oh now you got one with a TV"
I keep watching for the cellphone/vape mod combo to tun up on fasttech or Gearbest. China will have to try. Maybe a TV/mod will show up first! :D:lol: Watch youtube vape reviews on your vape device while vaping! woohooo!

I don't know about anyone else, but for me, those hot wings would exclude anything subtle! Yeeoww. Looking good

Oh, they’re hot wings? Do they make an aloe e juice?

This morning, I’m vaping butter pecan ice cream. Sure goes nicely with a hot cup of coffee. Morning, all!

All that depends on what regulations and limitations are put in place, and I have no idea how that will be managed here. Maybe carriers here will be forced to carry all content. The devil is in the details.
That's why I called it "free-er market" internet. Thanks to that pesky interstate commerce clause and the contortions put to it through history, my utopia of a government hands off economy will never come to pass. But hey... I'm happy with progress rather than perfection.

Maybe that's how it will turn out in America, but it's not a given. I saw a breakdown of how the post-neutrality system works currently somewhere else, maybe it was Portugal.

It's not the user who pays more for speed, except in the sense that you do that already today by buying a faster connection. It's the website operators who pay for speed. What you pay more for is range of content. A bit like selecting a set of channels with a cable company, except there were more options to choose from. If you want access to everything you pay a premium price, or you can get a more limited package. Social media and video download were two options I remember seeing there.

Also, maybe not every carrier will carry Netflix for example. Depends how much Netflix is willing to pay them to carry their stuff, like with TV channels today. Maybe some carriers will offer porn and others won't. Etc.

And which carriers you even have access to will depend on where you live, just like today.

All that depends on what regulations and limitations are put in place, and I have no idea how that will be managed here. Maybe carriers here will be forced to carry all content. The devil is in the details.

That's the way I read it also, not about speed but content. I totally disagree with that concept. I shouldn't have to pay more to reach certain sites. Hypothetical situation, let's say providers charge a fee or charge a higher rate for Facebook, or E.C.F. - that is total baloney to me. Providers shouldn't be able to charge different rates to access certain sites. I see this as Government aiding the provider (big business) not the consumer.

Good morning shiny folks. Taking my mom to the airport in a bit. I know it's not over til the fat lady sings but unless me and my mom attack each other on the way there I am going to deem this a highly successful visit, really..

Man, hope I didn't just curse myself, but yeah, much better than usual. Heh.

I don't see this as progress, but more of the current government aiding big business, while screwing the consumer.

Remember the 55 mph speed limit? Remember what that did to the cost of transportation?

Remember the wage and price controls of the 1970's? How'd that work for controlling inflation?

Subsidized flood insurance makes it economically feasible for people to build in flood plains. Subsidized recycling means fewer trees planted and more global warming. Which leads to more storms. Which leads to more floods.

Remember the rules against redlining in mortgage lending? That led to tens of millions with lousy credit getting mortgages they had no business getting and had no chance of paying.

Every single time our benevolent government says it's trying to help the consumer, the consumer takes the brunt. And every single time, politicians point the finger at big business.

Big car makers. Big oil. Big tobacco. Big pharma. Big banking. Big ... internet?

No doubt Verizon (or was it Comcast...can't remember and don't have time for links) throttling Netflix before NN was implemented because they wanted their own streaming service used by customers has been forgotten.

That is the biggest reason NN is championed. And that AT&T, Verizon, Comcast all take smaller providers to court or block them when they attempt to build out in their areas.

Monopolies in the broadband space, and repealing NN only aids them, not the consumer.

It seems to me that providers will market and sell different "tiers" or "packages" for internet, like they now do with television. But instead of "speed tiers" it will be "site tiers" meaning in package A, one can access these particular sites, package B can access these particular sites etc.
To me that is baloney.

In my opinion, big business runs the government. Lobbyist's should be outlawed.

It's actually monopolistic competition, where there are only a few competitors in a market with natural barriers to entry. There can only be so many railroads.

It's always been about content. The biggest argument is that startups and newcomers to the space have a level playing field. Established content should never be prioritized over new. Well, nothing should have priority.

The "speed lanes" were a way of giving Joe Blow a visual. Comcast shouldn't throttle Little Jimmies Movie service and not their own. Consumers would see one service slow, and choose to use the faster. That's all well and good if it's not artificially faster cause it's paying for priority.

Level. Period. Extortion is what was happening prior, and what NN was attempting to head off.

I hate the "fast lane" annalogy because it doesn't accuratley convey what the problem was.
