Maaaaaaaan, most of my afternoon has been humiliating. It sure does make me remember why I left my LAST job, LOL. I asked some dude who had also left and who was the supervisor I MOST hated, but spent the MOST time getting to know and pretend to like, so I wouldn't be fired. He "politely" declined because it was "too long ago" and he "couldn't remember my work." He remembered my work JUST FINE when he was all like, "Your work with clients is great but I am going to fire you for your insubordinate attitude,." LOL. I DYED MY HAIR blonde for this guy (to be fair, I got to grow it out from red and find out how grey, I mean platinum I am) but it was less than like 5 years ago. I think he's lazy or he just doesn't want to bother. I mean, dang. I remember him FINE and also my VERY first clients. He's just lazy.
So, I remember WHY I hated that dude. I had a really, awful awkward conversation with another lady I was quite close with and she agreed to reference me, but ARGH. I never told anyone why I left (my final breakdown) and etc,, because it was a Native chick who was up in my grill, and I was like, "Okay, she was TERMINALLY rude, but my reaction was not okay, so I AM the problem", and like, so I just never brought it up. But anyone who WOULD agree that what she did was disgusting (she carefully waited until my supervisor was absent) was white, and I was like, "Even if we do employee counseling I am just going to want to KILL HER anyway because I'm so overstressed. Etc." Maybe I should have said something but I just got up and left, and never returned (except to get my stuff, on a weekend, a time when I was OFTEN there, and no one else was, LOL).
Now, it's nice this lady said yes but it was under such carefully "and are you better conditions," and do you want to work with prisoners sort of ways and I didn't want to be like "I'll be making a bunch more than I ever did with the tribe and I LIKE convicts," I had to be all well, it fits my NEEDS and then not as much PAPERWORK and grovel. Grr. I'm tracking down other references and I think I'll be fine, it just may take me a moment. Etc. One recent reference died, another is either on vacation or ignoring their phone, etc., and whatever. One's on maternity leave and like, no. I'm finding backups and my VERY FIRST SUPERVISOR always remembers me. Always. So, I tracked HIM down. I'm not calling anyone yet it's July 3.
This is making me feel all edgy. Not about WORK. I sincerely believe that my coworkers will be more pleasant than my past coworkers, and PROBABLY the convicts TOO to be frank. It's just a reminder (to me) that not everyone is so sweet, kind and spiritual than Natives quite often PRETEND. SOME OF THEM SUCK UP CLOSE.

I think I got my last ones from RTD when I bought batteries. But, lots of vendors carry them. I usually add them on so I don’t get more shipping charges
