You have me at a disadvantage sir...... :pervy:
An AudioKarma friend gave me this
https://www.amazon.com/Grateful-Dead-Collectors-Magazine-Ultimate/dp/B00C8EZB64
I have ~1300 live Dead CDs and membership at a private GD forum along with quite a few books etc but it's the thought that counts. He also gave me the Beatles Special Edition and a few Mad magazines just because he's good people.
https://www.amazon.com/RollingStone-Beatles-100-Greatest-Songs/dp/B003ZJN6KE
I gave him a few records before and he spent an hour looking through his stash for BÖC - Secret Treaties LP when he knew I wanted a copy. That's AudioKarma :)

EDIT to add - just popped up in my FB feed from Open Culture
Every Cover of MAD Magazine, from 1952 to the Present: Behold 553 Covers from the Satirical Publication | Open Culture

IMO - OC is one of the best of FB and an Internet Top 10. Here's their "About"

New England AK Frankenfest was hosted by the skinny sitting bearded guy at his woodshop 3x/year for as long as I've been an AK member. RIP Frank 2017
Some folks drove hundreds of miles. His shop was 1/2 mile from my house :)

Snowing in Winterpeg yet? ;)
Now now, don't be silly ... we've still got a few more weeks of mosquitos before that happens!

I lived in Lynn Lake for a year when I was a kid.
Is that a fond memory, or stories to threaten the kids with to keep them in line (be good or it's off to Lynn Lake for you)?

morning all.
not good to start the day with frustration but...
rebuilt the 30mm zathog. wound 2 x 4mm 6 wrap SS316L coils (26+30) and went at it. it's the screws that secure the legs i dislike. easy for the driver (very small bit) to slip off and go to either side. again, the legs were kept longer than expected. so here we have it. not the neatest coils i've ever wound but they function. coming out at 0.34 combined.

i do like this RDA. massive airflow if you want it and decent flavour.

I've boughr the Recurve, and an XBR55AE1
How does that work? Does the XBR55AE1 even have a 510 connection?
1.0

The recurve RDA however is doing well, had to fiddle around for a while to determine leg length and now it's-a-chucking thick creamy clouds. Currently in the process of testing what coils and flavors work best with it.

Customs in Frankfurt don't seem to like me, my French flavor order is sitting there for over a week now. That's market harmonization and frictionless trade for you

i've built the recurve twice. both times using the tool that came with it to determine the leg length (top of coil sitting roughly 1mm below the air flow posts).
i've had decent flavour from it but think it can produce more. going to try the legs a bit shorter with my next attempt i think.

the tool that came with it
Whut there's a tool?
PogChamp.png

Hope I didn't throw that away yet

What does it look like?

My experimental leg length is such that when I screw the coil down it is touching the deck, after tightening I pull it up and when I look through the airflow holes I see the entire coil, the upper and lower images are mirrored so it's centered vertically with respect to airflow.

Good morning all! Busy several days here. My daughter is fine and out of the hospital so giant relief there. Had my tooth extraction and enjoyed a day of floating in the air thanks to the pain meds.

On a more vapish note, that lost package from AVS from their July 4th sale finally arrived after a month of sightseeing across America. Damn thing popped up last Friday in Florida. Worked its way up the coast by steamboat and arrived yesterday. AVS was really nice about the lost package thing and was ready to replace it, but USPS must have deployed hundreds of inspectors to track that fugitive package down and assure its safe and fleety delivery. I could have used that new FT styled store in Outer Mongolia and gotten it faster. Still all's well that ends well.

At least I got it before the Labor Day sales start up.

Good thing I'm primarily a hard rocker.
I'd be suffering if I was a classical banger.

I only had 1 shelf full of classical when I switched to vaping 5 years ago.
$300/month on smokes to $15/month of DIY juice & DIY coils/rayon
Vaping tastes, smells AND SOUNDS better than smoking :thumb:

Classical music is a good way for lead guitar players to pick up neat licks. I've scavenged quite a few riffs from classical composers I just happened to hear.
