Good morning shiny folks, I see much shiny was posted during my brief time away. @Fidola13 you are making me want to buy the Layer cake, man.

LOL, I'm starting to wonder what would happen if someone totaled up pricing for each item and we kept a running shinyitis total. It might be impressive.

Holy Goodness, listening to the husband wake up is like a cat coughing up a fur ball on a GOOD day but now he is puking. If it's a food poisoning day, I'm going to rent an apartment somewhere. He's got the moans now....

Yesterday went fine the drive was fine, my offer to stop in and meet credentialing lady ("to say thank you for all your hard work on my behalf!") which is actually in fact true, well, she actually took me up on it and I want there and she was super nice about it, also, so I am in fact glad I made the offer. She shared her issues with pee testing "I was so scared the first time! I couldn't go, I was too nervous and I drank way too much." LOL I told her about my fears and terrors about not ...... in a cup but accidentally flushing afterward, which like, it's such an instinctive response. Anyway I did not flush so all should be well..

I get giddy when I go up there, I'm not sure if I just like it or it's the altitude but I think the former.

So, now I wait. But from the sounds of things if anything goes horrible I just start in November. Which is okay really because the husband remembered that as I was consolidating my debt, he took out several predatory high interest lines of credit, and forgot.

Which is good and bad in a way. I mean, if you can oh, pay it off in a month, no big deal, which might occur to a small amount, but like when you have large unexpected expenses that cause an inability to drive to the food pantries, well, that's bad. That's kind of the plus and minus of debt consolidation, you do it when you freaking HAVE TO, but you also, like, are usually doing it when you have to meaning you have no money for "sudden issues" which can be "rather constant." LOL.

Oh well here's hoping all is chill I brought six mods with me yesterday and I vaped every one. That commute is gonna be a bear, I am prediction but I wasn't going to my site but one an hour further away.

Man I hate UPS.

Not only is the route convoluted, but for the Americans here spectating from home, here are the fees we are to pay:

Shipping
Brokerage fee (should this not be included in shipping?)
Duty (this is normal & fine, I get it)
2.7% fee on what you pay on duty (why am I paying a company's pseudo-tax on top of a tax??!)
COD fee

You can save on the brokerage fee by advising them you're clearing it yourself, asking for paper work, going to a customs office and showing the paper work and getting it stamped, going to a UPS warehouse and showing you have the stamp. With USPS they just hand it off to Canada Post and Canada Post collects the duty.

For fun, on their website, it says you can save on brokerage and COD by prepaying your duty fees. After calling UPS 3 times and getting wrong information, I conclude that you cannot prepay duty before it goes through customs clearing so you automatically have to pay the brokerage fee. The only thing you can save is the $4.25 brokerage fee. Unless you have a business account.

The saga continues...
Ugh tell me about it. Shipping in the USA to other countries has become ridiculous. I run a small internet company and ship many packages daily using UPS and USPS. The Costs to go out of country have prevented me from doing so. 3 Years ago you could ship anything anywhere somewhat reasonable but now everything uses dimensional weight. A typical box for me is 20x16x10" with a weight of 7.5lbs, but now I have to bill the customer for a 26lb weight which more than tripled the cost. Out of country costs = FORGET IT. Unfortunately for me I sell very low cost extremely lightweight products. I can not incorporate the shipping costs into the product cost (which everyone does these days). All this happens before the package even leaves my possession. Then the real fun starts with the tracking, constantly wrong, never updates, USPS is the worst for this. Then if by some chance someone out of country does want to buy from me, I will ship it and tell them beware that our costs do not include Vat and Duty fees and they need to be prepared for them. Well of course they never take the time to check and get slapped with huge fees.
The short of it is: If you have thought about starting an eCommerce business DON'T it's just not worth it these days. Amazon wants 25% after all fees, Ebay well that just sucks with fees. Shipping is a nightmare with dimensional weight calculations (as of today there has been no fix to this with any of the eCommerce software providers, when a multiple item sale is involved)
Okay Rant Over fer now!!!!

Just because I was gone for a bit doesn't mean I've been cured of my Shinyitis. These were my favorite types of vape mail, FREE.
Phobia 2 and a pair of Geekvape Alpha tanks

Then the real fun starts with the tracking, constantly wrong, never updates, USPS is the worst for this.

I have another parcel coming via USPS. It looks like to me after it hits the border, tracking stops. I think it will only update with a delivery confirmation but no scans between last US Facility > Delivery.

Is this what you saw? I'm getting a USPS International Letter, so it may not apply to packages.

If the package is in transit (on a truck or plane) it won't update anything until it arrives at next sorting facility. This can sometimes take days. I've seen them delivered for 7 days before the tracking gets updated. You are correct once it leaves the country the secondary carrier usually does not update it.

Really been enjoying the RDA on this shiny. Does a great job of sending the juice to the top of your coils. The mod is basically the same as the Pulse 80 but now takes 21700s along with 18650s and 20700s.

Big bonus for me is the doors on the X. The 80W doors, with the exception of carbon fibre -black- are all hideous to me. Only reason I picked one up is because I found custom doors.

I ordered the G10 doors but got a call from the vendor yesterday saying that they are back ordered again. Oh well, they'll be here someday

Looks like timeline has been narrowed down to a few weeks away. Do we have any shiny friends in the Carolinas? Will be in a big truck and trailer, but, possibly can meet up, if you drive.
Personally I'd ask for a tour at BCF if I was going to be anywhere close to their location.

Man I hate UPS.

If I order from a US vendor and their only shipping option is UPS, I refuse to place the order with them and tell them so. They are the biggest international "fee" gougers out of all the carrier's.

Finally it came in the mail yesterday! Bought this Aegis to pair up with my peerless rdta's and so far after two days I love the way it works in power mode. It only falls 30 puffs short of my twin battery mods.:thumb:View attachment 765685 View attachment 765687

I've had mine for a couple of weeks and it gets first bat in my daily vape rotation. You will like it more and more as you use it. It's not something you'd want to stick in a pocket and leave the house, but for a home mod it's a champ.
