It's usually warmer in Alaska than it is where I live. Seriously it's very messed up. I have a -50F sleeping bag that is 10 inches thick and sometimes that isn't even enough ha ha

It was only about -6 with wind chills to -30 and -40. Everything was up in the mountains on the Black Rapids Glacier.
I don't do cold at all, 50 is cold to me.
When my wife takes over the A/C in summer, everyone laughs cause I wear sweats and a hoodie around the house while she wears shorts.
I'd leave the thermostat on about 80 if I could get away with it.

I seriously doubt squonking will be over at all. It's been a favored way of vaping for years by many, the there is just a resurgence of gear right now.

Definitely beats the alternative.

Yeah I bet it's sore. I've been hacked into a few times, mainly back surgery it's never fun. I know they used to just shoot people up with lots of lidocaine and hack away on it. I hate being put under that stuff affects me for months afterwards.

They can do local for open surgeries. I don't know about laproscopic surgeries. Open surgery would be no fun though. Recovery takes longer too.

I have a saying: Anything above -20f is still shorts weather! You would not believe the looks people give me when i'm out running around in shorts when it's below freezing. I hate the cold for the first few weeks until I get acclimated to it then it's like Yeehaa time to fire up the sleds

Then you'll be sore on the outside too.

He's not the one I am worried about. The dog is so excited to see me but have to keep a safe distance. She doesn't understand. I can't explain it to her either

Several years ago we went to Michigan once to visit my wife's family and we were at Mackinac Island.
Apparently Michigan was having a 'heatwave'. My kids wanted me to turn on the A/C in the hotel room, but I couldn't find it. I was informed most places didn't have any because it wasn't needed there.

Later my in-laws tried to talk me into moving my family there to be closer to them (again).
I told them that I wasn't moving there 'cause if they didn't need A/C in the summer, I dang sure didn't want to be there in the winter!
They claimed Oklahoma was worse cause we have the cold that gets in your bones and winter doesn't feel as cold in Michigan, blah, blah, blah.
NO THANKS!! I'm good.

That would be like me and my sis bonding over marathon training. If she EVER suggested it I'd be like, "You can self harm all you want, but leave me out of it," which seems to be the attitude of both sides of the family, and by that I mean her husband's too.

My theory is, after going to law school with two kids under the age of five, she finds running "restful" because no one can catch up to her and ask her to do anything. Smart. In a way.

Coughing fit over, thankfully. I was getting worried.
