LOL I am selling a mod, to buy batteries. Does not sound terribly shiny but it actually is, I have been needing some new batteries for a while. Also, preparing for work la la all that.

I still feel a LOT better this a.m. Hoping for yoga time because I already did several to-do things. We'll see how THAT goes.

Good morning shiny folks 5 am seems less overwhelming but I disciplined myself to bed by like 8:30.

I can personally attest to the evils of protected batteries I bought 4 Samsungs by accident (and it's not like they were cheap either.) During the AW fiasco and at first I was like "These are wrapped oddly the clear wrap and cushion thing must be some sort of "super wrapping" (don't judge me, LOL) and I tried to take it off but then the metal strip up the side cut me and I was like (don't judge me) "Something is WRONG!" and then I did some hasty research and I was like, DAMN IT.

Later some battery guru (might've been Baditude, can't remember but anyway someone was saying they MIGHT fit in some things and well, .I was like, "They might fit in my beater stealth P3 and they didn't (too fat) but they DID fit in a Procyon and like I mentioned it and then a couple people (might have been Baditude and Bronze, I am pretty sure Bronze might have been involved also others) demanded for me to know I was supposed to use a flat top in them and what was I doing with those batteries in there let alone button tops at all, and I gave a long explanation including how someone said it was not only alright but better but they were like "You could damage them!" and I got all freaked out (even though it had been happening for SOME time (stop judging me) so then I switched them all and I notice little difference other than more battery life and I pulled out a 2.5 with an extension tube JUST so like I could use my long AW batteries.

I buried my protected batteries in the dark of night, in the back yard, next to the dead dog, because I was like "I hate these and they are useless and people are scary about them.

Okay you can stop judging me now.

The moral of the story is, don't buy protected batteries and yeah they fit IN A PROCYON but maybe they shouldn't and don't try to deconstruct one (for vaping or any other purpose.) LOL.

Anna

I don’t even know what a protected battery is so judging from here lol!

    Morning shinies :)

    :lol::lol::lol: over the poetry above

Went for my first hill climb since breaking ankle and quitting smoking.
It was the hills in the background of this pic - pine tree at the top
    frickinhill.jpg

It was meant to be a just 20 min walk - but instead I easily got over half way up. So next time I feel the urge (doesn't happen often) I'll take a pic from the top.

Bionic ankle worked like a charm. Best thing was my lung capacity - sure I got out of breath, but recovered almost instantly. Loved that :thumb:

This morning my leg muscles are saying what the foxtrot did ya do that for?!?! ;)

I remember quite a while back @Rixsta had an x000mAh DNA 250? custom built, it was a beast but I don't know what it was worth, nice looking rig though.

Hey TD, yeah my custom built Star Wars mod, I've posted it her a few months back, wasn't cheap, around 700 plus dollars

Aw he needed to meet up with Tenacious D.

I love Tenacious D SO MUCH. LOL me and the kid would watch it ALL THE TIME and my mom would come over and disapprove super NOISY and say stuff like, "That's disgusting" and "you shouldn't expose the kid to this kind of stuff," and me and the kid would go, "Shh... grandma shh, you're going to miss the best part!" She would get up and huff across the street.....

I freely admit that sometimes I'd ask her to come by for some trivial item once me and the kid were gonna watch an episode or two, because it made it so much better.

I know even Sasquatch wasn't good enough for Tenacious D, but this guy might be.... LOL.

I couldn't do it. The urge was too much. I spent money I told myself i wasn't going to. Now i have to hook up security cams to my mailbox so I dont miss my vape mail. I sat at my workbench looking at 2 different checkout screens on my phone while my cnc mill chugged away for about 3 hours. Not to mention the hours I spent browsing online stores and youtube looking at different mods and kits going "oh I like that, and that, and those." Anyways...

I now have coming in the mail:
    Vaporesso Armour Pro kit
    2 new 21700 batteries
220mls of juice that I dont need but they're tasty leave me alone damnit.
New in box OBS Nano Engine
    Wraps for my 20700s
    Glass for my Serpent SMM

    And unrelated to here:
Extra Fine Pilot Gold plated nibs for my Metropolitan fountain pen. (Another dangerous hobby, dont do it)

And now to make it fair because I over spent what I said itd cost, wife says I have to buy her and our kid matching hoodies off of Amazon. Makes sense right? I'm going to have to start selling things at this rate. Every 3 or 4 months I'm dropping over $100 on vaping because I'm like a bird. Oooh shiny!

Get a Montblanc or Lamy. Better nibs, imo. I’ve collected them for, well, more years than you’ve been around probably... Cross still makes a good daily user, and a 40’s/50’s Parker if you can find one is nice too.

Well you tell me, November will mark my 25th year on this planet lol. I am glad though that I found vaping a few years ago before 6 years of smoke turned into 50..or less.

I've been eyeing up a white lamy safari but I just dont like the looks if I'm honest. I like the ovalish cigar shaped pens. I also dont do a ton of writing, well at work I do. But a machine shop is way to dirty for the likes of a fine pen. I tried and found myself cleaning more than writing. My money has to focus on one hobby at a time and it was vaping this time. I think a new Spyderco knife will show up around Christmas next. My nitro rc cars need some love too..

The way I see it is I was dropping $250 a month on cigarettes. I don't feel guilty buying new gear as long as it stays cheaper than smoking, which it does. By far.
